I don't need to know details or watch what he had to say. I say, "Good for both of them."

She made a typical teen mistake of thinkin' "Woe is me." We all did that one. We just didn't have a dad so quick to love us in a way to handle things in this manner. I think this is a clever way to deal with educating a teen. It's a bit expensive, no doubt, but if she has to buy her next computer she'll be careful what she writes.

They both read, listened, heard and comprehended what the other said and felt. Dad didn't back down from being a loving daddy. Though it was an odd way of settling the situation he was firm in backing up an understood rule of the household. The daughter knows, without a doubt, that he meant what he said, but ... it is only for her own good, because his love is there.

The father/daughter tie became stronger due to him reading her post and acting on the goods. He didn't threaten her with any harm. I doubt that is something he would do only because he showed the world what he WOULD hurt. I assume he only expressed discontent with her words. She will never forget this lesson and, as an adult, she will forever appreciate what she has at home. Her school year book staff will be dying to add this. Picture the attendees of her 50th class reunion. "Remember when ..." They all learned an important lesson at that school all because of one wacky moment.

More dads should take a stand in leading their baby girls to a better life. I can't help it. This sounds like something that would have happened in my childhood home. Mad dad (in my case, step-dad) feels better after. Immediate frustrations, then many of 'my' tears, but both of our hugs and love would follow.

I giggled at their sense of humor after the fact. May the Lord lead her to a Godly man who would accept the silliness of this time and protect her children from the invasion of the world's Internet. God bless them both!

i believed for what he did was a great job. now days kids say they have it hard really they got it easy. my kids now are learning that if you want something you must work for it and shouldnt complain about it. let them worry about rent, lights, gas, and putting food on the table for a family and lets see how well it cost them to do it while the parents are out making a living and all they have to do is a few things around the house. i give him all the support because he is right about everything that he did and congrads to you.

I applaud this father for making the tough choice to confront his daughter, and consistently take a stand for her learning to respect and value what is earned. These parents tried talking, reasoning, grounding, while still holding her accountable for her responsibilities and these approaches proved ineffective, but he didn't give up or back down. In the years to come I suspect this daughter will appreciate the extent to which her father was willing to go ,because he loved her and took his role as a parent seriously.
