What should LeBron James have done on the Heat's final possession?

ABC, they're already there, that's why their such miserable morons. I'm not sure how you can hate the guy's game? He is the best all around player in the league, without question. And if you hate the guy, then you're even dumber than I thought. You don't know the guy except through the filter of the media, who play you chumps like a violin.

As for the play, he made the right play. Haslem is a paid professional, too, who has made that shot hundreds of times in this league.

  • ABC - 12 years ago

The coach/coaches called the time out draw the last play to be executed by the players. So, with that said the coach/coaches are responsible. No one has talk about how D. Wade mess-up and causes the Miami Heat the game, LBJ help the team to come back!!!!!!!!!!

SO FOR ALL YOU LBJ HATER GO TO HELL!

  • Ballemup - 12 years ago

Are you kidding me, Lebron scored 17 points in just that 4th quarter and was ON FIRE, hitting crucial shots and bringing his team back in game when losing by double digits in almost the whole game. In this situation you definetly have to take this shot if your lebron considering the fact you were red hot, Its your obligation to take that shot in this situation. In other words, it was "the right basketball play", BUT it wasnt the right play to choose. so saying it was the right basketball play is not an excuse at all. More importantly, this is all about lebron, in the clutch he is very notorious for not making or even taking shots in vital moments so thats why he also needs to take that shot, which people have been waiting for, so if was kobe or d rose or Durant and they didnt take the shot, they still would be fine because they almost always take the last shot unlike lebron who never does it.

  • Rob Nabakowski - 12 years ago

For those of you saying that Lebron is not clutch and he should have passed the ball to Wade, who is clutch, what evidence do you have for that? This is a perfect example of perception over reality. Thank God, you people are fans, with all its attendant ignorance and not coaches. Coaches know the game. Your guts don't. Please, people, reason is your friend. Use it.

  • Andile Valashiya - 12 years ago

I bet my entire year's earnings that had that been MJ he would've taken the shot

  • Brian(South Africa) - 12 years ago

absolutely nothing wrong with Lebron's play, Haslem was wide open and should have knocked that shot down

  • Waking Paul - 12 years ago

All the hater that dont like LBJ, I know that you guys cant wait every day to see him play cause he got something special. LBJ is playing the best basketball ever

  • lebronfan - 12 years ago

That's exactly the point. LeBron is great.... until that final moment. Yes dwade lost the game for them, but the whole issue here is about LeBron and that last shot that he's been reluctant to take. Yes it was the right basketball play... But Great players shoot the last shot and take the consequences with them. He didn't even think about shooting with 4 seconds left on the clock, one dribble pass is not what your superstar should be doing on the final possession, especially since the pass wasn't to another superstar. PS if you look at the game tape again, the double team wasn't that tight and he had a lane to the basket, just saying. And again, mj/kobe would'v took that shot regardless of the percentages and would've most likely made it. But what do I know, I'm only referring to two multi-ring owners. Great players by LeBron, not the play he shouldve made at that point in the game.

After looking at the results of the poll and reading the comments I am so impressed. I didn't remember there were still people with commonsense that follow basketball. Lebron did the right thing if u think different then you dont know a thing about basketball or u didnt watch the game and see how clutch lebron played. Scoring 12 or 14 in the 4th quarter to put his team up after trailing the entire game by double digits(18 at one point). He put the team on his back and nailed 2 ridiculously points in the last minute to put the heat up. If you hate lebron you dont have to make everything you say base on the fact that you hate on him. Arguing about this game is ridiculous because lebron beast it in this game. Is funny how wade missed a free throw in the last minute and nobody criticizes him just because wade has no haters. If lebron had missed the free throw they will talk about it until 2018. He is knocking on the door and he is going to get in soon. You can see it. Look at the all star game he ruin it at the end but still he was the one that tied the game and Deron Williams missed an open 3 wade lost the ball while running wide open in the lastt minute and Durant only scored 2 points in the 4th quarter but nobody ever hates on them. Stop hating, is bad for your health. Enjoy the game

  • Robj0nes - 12 years ago

shoot the ball...You're one of the best player other than Wade on that team...why would u pass it? I see its the sam eplay off syndrome he has...he is a great player but he needs to own up moments like this (crunch time)...Kobe, MJ, n many more stars live for this...even i do and im not a pro. C'mon son

  • Jon Paul - 12 years ago

james..your the number 1 player in the league.. you can do better than that..F***k

  • Fred - 12 years ago

tell me this when you are the best player on the team you are good in the clutch you pass it to a power forward to hit the game winner i mean i like the team play but man your the king.

  • James - 12 years ago

People are so stupid. Would it have been better for him to jack up a horrible shot with a double team on him? No. He drew the double team and dished it out to the open teammate. Good play by Lebron.

  • lebron fan - 12 years ago

You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.
It doesn't matter if it's the correct team play, you guys are missing the point. Great players take on the responsibility of taking the last decisive shot of the game. All the great players in the world take those shots. Which legends that lead championship teams would pass up on the last shot unless they have no other choice? None. That's what makes them the great players they are. That play would've been a great play if it was a half time buzzer beater.

  • Jay Best - 12 years ago

Why are all you people worried or mad about Lebron taking the last shot. He mad the right decision to pass the ball when he got trapped. He don't have to take all of the game winning shots. So don't worry about Lebron taking every game winning shot. If he passed it to Haslem, then he passed it to Haslem. I'm mad that we lost but haslem has not developed a great shot.

  • Joe Gouda - 12 years ago

This all seams to come back to the perception that lebron is an egotistical narcissist based on a few public miscues therefor leading to an obsession to point to every mistake the man makes. This is very easy to do as basketball is a game of mistakes and usually the team that limits their mistakes will come out the victor. I believe the perception couldnt be further from the truth as a man should be judged on action not words. People say he is selfish but look at the way he plays the game. Theres rarely a moment that you can point to where he's not doing something to help his TEAM win. And if the man truely has no heart; no desire to win then why is hell would he put in so much effort in the all star game and the Jazz game with them both seemingly so far out of reach?
I implore you people to open your eyes because you are missing one of the truly great players of the century. Not just the mans physical gifts but his skill, knowledge and admiration for the game simply has no peer.

  • Jerome - 12 years ago

You can see from Lebron's body language that was not the play he wanted. He wanted to take the last shot, but appeared to have followed a coaching decision to pass if double teamed. He is Lebron James...Not Ben Gordon or Jamal Crawford. Take it strong to the hole and finish strong or get a foul called. Clearly, it has become Lebron's Team, no D-Wade's. If they don't win this year...there will be a lot of regrets on that Team....GO BULLS!

  • Aguinaldo Kawit - 12 years ago

I think Lebron made the correct play.....give him a break.

Just because you do not like how he tries to make the right play does not mean he made the wrong choice.

I am a big fan of the Lakers but it irritates me no end when Kobe chooses to ignore open teammates even if they are in a better position to score at crunch time.

  • Vitor - 12 years ago

Man, after what he did on the 4th quarter you're missing the point. It was one of the best comebacks in the 4th I've seen from ONE man. I can't see no one else bringing them team back by themselves. We are discussing this because lebron was out of this world, more than he usually is.

  • joven - 12 years ago

thats a right thing he did haslem win a game many time but that time. he is unlucky you cannot blame LBJ. the man is open

  • Romano - 12 years ago

Lebron should have taken the shot. Kerr is a better shooter than Haslem, if you are comparing it with MJ passing the ball to Kerr in a Finals game of the Bull vs Jazz. If it was Wade who's on Haslem's position, that could have been a much better percentage that the shot will fall.

  • Romano - 12 years ago

  • Krackii17 - 12 years ago

lebron made like so many threes and so many shots on a whole; he can make shots under pressure and heats wuld've won that game if he had taken that shot. I am not going to lie i don't want them to win the championship becuz they seem very cockyand i don't like that about them because most if the other teams if not all of them have humility and i think that is why they lost- they let their cockiness get the better of them and got beat by the jazz; but kudos to you Jazz, you guys prove that you can beat any team in the NBA, now you just have to keep it up

  • irwin - 12 years ago

Lebron is a scorer..he can score 50 - 60 pts per game..but not a clutch shooter..when you know you're one..even though you have zero points for the rest of the game..you know you could still trust yourself that could make a shot....in times like that.. Dwayne Wade is much more a better option for them..

  • ramon lopez - 12 years ago

People who criticized LBJ has problem they don't know. LBJ is in their head and it's making them sick. that's why they don't think right. His performance this season esp. the last 2 games should win him the MVP. He's pushing all the right buttons that's why the Heat is playing excellent basketball.

  • treblig - 12 years ago

many basketball fans are waiting for lebron action, they always find way to criticize lbj.

  • treblig - 12 years ago

lbj has right decision to pass the ball........................................... team work ....

  • Basketball fan - 12 years ago

LeBron passed the ball , and Haslem missed the shot ... So Lebron is a coward who doesnt take his responsability when the game is on the line.
If LeBron took the shot and missed it ... He is not as clutch as Bryant Jordan Wade
If LeBron took the shot and nailed it ... None of this matters until he does it in the finals and he doesnt take away the fact that he "melt down" in the 2011 finals. Now we are here taking a poll on what he should have done ??!! how silly is that ?
People ... People !! Just let the guy play and stop arguing about every thing he says ot does. Yes there was a "decision", so what ??? dont you make mistakes ? he apologized so beat it,- I think people just take this whole LeBron-Stuff too personal. Im following the nba since the 90s and no matter what people say he is still the best player in league and any teams would spend millions to get him...

  • Joe - 12 years ago

We all know that LeBron has brought all this criticism/hating upon himself. He calls himself the 'King', had the media circus around 'The Decision' and then starts boasting about how many championship rings he was going to win - 8 wasn't it ? All those people who go on about how great he is, please remind me how many rings he's won compared to Kobe or MJ !!!

Yes his physicality and athleticsim make him one of the best players in the NBA, but with that comes humility (like D Rose) not arrogance. Hence there will always be people out there like me who are happy when he 'chokes' and puts his big foot in his mouth until he starts being more humble.

  • Mike Jonze - 12 years ago

Why is this even a discussion? A double teamed player taking a shot vs an NBA player with a wide open free thow shot...hmmm which is a higher percentage shot. Lebron also shoots with his right hand and was driving left....does anybody actually understand how he would have to fade left while shoot right to avoid being blocked(thats a very hard low percentage shot)...vs is wide open nba player? Come on you guys, kobe would have taken that shot and that's why I pick lebron over kobe anyday of the week. That's why people dont want to play with kobe.

  • REUBENLBJ - 12 years ago

Lebron you are the king. your are the best player in the workd. shoot it and knock them out. even you miss it.atleast you tried. no worries you are still the lebron james the king!!

  • egerald - 12 years ago

and by the way, Lebron already had his moment on this late game situation where he shot the ball against Golden state warriors and won the game, where they were down 18points. He also had his moment when scored (40+) a lay up against 3 defenders (Jamison, Arenas and Butler) of Wizards on the dying seconds of the game during the Quarter Finals of the Eastern Conference He also had his moment when, he bravely score 41 points against Detroit Pistons during Eastern Finals in 2007. Where he single handedly eliminated the superstars of Detroit Pistons (Bill Ups, Hamilton, 2 Wallace and Prince) who were at the peek of their prime and almost believe that Cleveland is the under dog. Remember they were down 2 - 0 in that conference. and you know what, he kept passing the ball to Daniel Gibson in Game 5 and 6 and eventually won the Eastern Conference Finals. They lost to Spurs in the NBA Finals because of what you taught Lebron should be doing now which is to shoot the ball regardless of what happens because he is the superstar. Now you know.....

  • bilbo - 12 years ago

Forget whether Lebron passing the ball to Haslem was the right move or not. Winning an NBA game does not come down to one possession. The Heat were trailing the Jazz nearly the entire game, and it was largely the efforts of Lebron that got them back in the game to begin with. If we're going to point fingers at all, however, we should be point at Spoelstra. Why would the coach design a play that would potentially leave Haslem as the go-to man when Lebron was shooting 10/11 in the second half? The play probably should have been targeted at getting Lebron the ball with an iso play, or with some sort of diversionary tactic involving Wade/Lebron.

  • egerald - 12 years ago

When Lebron entered into the league year 2003, he was already known as a pass first type superstar. If that's how he look on the game, let it be. Outlook towards the game can not be change in just a sudden. He became so good in basketball with the kind of outlook he has known and learned. So do not blame him, it's just another game anyway. When you're in his position, you will also think of other options not unless if you only have one option in mind which is to shot the ball regardless. He is just smart enough to think that opposing players will double team him because he is smart enough to know that he's already on fire. But even if Lebron is on fire, that does not guarantee that he will make the shot. Being a superstar does not even guarantee Lebron can make the shot. He did not chicken out, in fact, he was so braved enough to pass the ball to an open Haslem where he knows there is a high percentage of winning because that's Haslem's usual shot and if that man makes it, that man will have his glory. That was a design play for Lebron to have options. If it's really for Lebron only, it could have been Anthony who set the screen and I know Lebron trust Anthony but i don't believe he will pass it to him because again, he is smart to know... Sad to say it ended up to Haslem missing the shot but what if it was Chris Bosh whom he passed the ball? Lebron is on the losing side here, if he shot the ball and made it, you guys will just say because its only JAZZ. If he did not make it, you will say he's not clutch. So whether he pass the ball or not, the fact is Lebron made the right and deserving play in that moment. (period). There should be no argument on that.

  • Zach - 12 years ago

Listen, I have no remorse for 'King' James. If the guy really didn't want all the attention and criticism, then he probably should have handled the whole situation with Cleveland a little better, maybe behind closed doors, instead of creating a media circus around the whole thing. Well, King James, ask and you shall recieve. No one is saying that the greats like Jordan, Bird, Magic, ect. never missed a clutch shot or a game winner. The thing is, LeBron doesn't even give himself the opportunity to make those shots. If he thinks passing the ball to Udonis Haslem is going to take the eyes off him, win or lose, it ain't happening. When you want to be one of the greats, you gotta play like one, and deferring the game winner to a player who scored 4 points the entire game... c'mon. If LeBron wants championships, he better start playing like he did in Cleveland and start taking over games by himself. Either that, or that trophy case is gonna look mighty bare come next season... and the next... until 'King' James decides to move on, again.

  • Nijjim - 12 years ago

I'm saying thou , Lebron is my favorite player in the league . I'm getting tired of people having some words for everything he do . I didn't mind that he passed a game determining shot to a OPEN MAN , I mean any great player wouldn't try to take a difficult shot if he notices that his teammate is wide open . Many say "If he's so great he should have taken the shot" (whom are most likely people whose favorite player is Kobe Bryant or Dwayne Wade and are a little upset Lebron is getting more attention than the two) while others are saying " ....he did just right" . In a situation like this it's a lose-lose outcome because if he would have taken the shot he's a ball-hog if he passed it he's a coward . What do you people expect from him !?

  • thinkaboutit - 12 years ago

take the effin shot. if you loose you'll get most/all of the blame anyway.
If i were the heat's opposing coach and its a 1~3 point game , ill always make sure the heat's big 3 gets covered and leave low shooting percentage Miami guys open on the perimeter and make sure Le Bron has the ball.

  • TomCo - 12 years ago

I don't believe LeBron would ever become successful w/his gifted talent if he keep passing up moments like this. Great players alike have been known to take the last shot and it doesn't really matter whether you make it or not, but it's the responsibility of the end result that you need to take. Simply put, he's not being responsible to himself nor his team for not taking that last shot and how many times have we seen that. He is indeed still consider a young player, but really his talents says otherwise. LeBron if you are reading this, please don't let the team down when they need you by passing up the opportunity to take 'the' shot. Kobe done it many times and so did many of NBA legends; why couldn't you? And remember we criticize you is because we love you, otherwise we wouldn't have cared. And to be honest I'm still a Kobe fan, but you are winning me over with your gifted talent, but you have to show us some self-confidence at 'that' moment.

  • MikeyC - 12 years ago

Yes he was open but Haslem isn't D Wade or Lebron. You never leave a deciding shot on someone other than your main player esp since Lebron was hitting all sorts of off balance shots so y did he go a different route this time? Reggie Miller himself said that even if his man was open he wouldn't pass the ball because it was his duty as a star to take those shots cause he has the best chance of making them. Lebron should have done the same or pass it to another clutch star ( which i don't know why two amazing players are on one team) which was D wade. Lebron chickened out but at the same time its only a season game so maybe taking those kind of shots aren't necessary as of yet. In the playoffs ALL the games pass the first round will be extremely close and he might be in the same scenario. If he plans on passing game winners the heat will be ringless

  • jfrasier - 12 years ago

All you LeBron haters out there probably never played pro ball. Yeh you may have played a little street ball where it's all about "YOU" or "I" - none of you know a thing about professional team ball and how fast things are happening in the last seconds of the game. LeBron James has a phenomenal sense of the game and TEAM SPIRIT. THERE IS NO "I" in TEAM! The minute you begin to think that "I" can do it all - that's the moment when all "KINGS" become crucified by the same fans - LIKE YOU ALL who say he should have taken the shot. Look at the replays in the Utah game and the all-star game. LeBron made that right TEAM play! Period. If you don't trust your teammates you'll soon find that you don't have a team. Look at Allen Iverson. In the all-star - LeBron was doubled and had the ball 3 ft beyond the 3 pt range with D'WADE WAVING HIS HAND FOR THE BALL - HE WAS WIDE OPEN! With two defenders on him LeBron saw D'WADE and jump passed - BUT BY THIS TIME BLAKE GRIFFITH HAD READ HIS EYES and intercepted the pass! LeBron DID THE RIGHT THING-PASS TO THE OPEN MAN!

Remeber a lot of your superstars who played with the "I" concept missed many last second shots - Michael Jordon, Scottie Pippin, Magic Johnson,Koby, and many more - do your home work! Learn how the game is really played by continuing to watch Le Bron James. It's not about playing HARD - it's about playing SMART!
    Peace!

  • Nirujan - 12 years ago

You guys have no clue what basketball is. If you think lebron made the wrong decision, you are an idiot. Basketball isn't just one person taking over. Its a team effort. Lebron gave the ball to a wide open Hasleem, and Hasleem can make that shot easily. Its not like he passed it Joel Anthony. Come on guys, think about basketball rather than a player when it comes to a game.

  • cyclone - 12 years ago

In that scenario , James had a clear look on the basket and a drive to the lane. He can simply outjump, outrun the defender in that case. HE should have taken the shot and grow up to become a MAN. har har..

  • Drew - 12 years ago

He was double-teamed and he had a man wide open. What am I missing here? And he took over against the Celtics and Bulls in the playoffs last season, yet rarely does anyone mention that. Stop bashing the guy or writing dumb articles like this to gain attention. Leave the guy alone and let him play proper team basketball instead of pushing this individualistic, selfish play that goes against what team sport is all about.

  • Jasper - 12 years ago

He did the right thing. And what about when he missed the shot, its more controversial now because all of the haters will come out and say Lebron can't shoot at crunch time. Every player has its own mind, Lebron just did what is the best for the team. HAVING A TRUST ON YOUR TEAMMATES IS THE KEY. That's what you called a team. Team cannot win just because he's a scorer, remember a team consists of 5 members and all of them are humans. So they should trust to each other. END OF STORY

  • Jerrid - 12 years ago

I think the last time I saw LeBron on the court there were 4 other players out there. Why does one person because of his talent level gets so much scrutiny? He is a basketball player as are the other 4 players on the floor for the Heat. If he shoos the ball and hits the game winner with double coverage and 2 others wider open then he took a tough shot and made it while other players were open. If he passes the ball from the double coverage and Haslem scores then he made the correct play, if Haslem misses then it was the wrong play. LeBron James came into the NBA as a pass first shoot second player, he doesn't have the MJ or Kobe or Durant or Melo or Tyreke Evan or even Westbrook killer scorer mentality. C. Webb said it best, he's a Magic Johnson like player with the ability to score at will, that simple, on that team D. Wade is the scorer LBJ complements Wade and so does Bosh. Phil Jackson's plays for Jordan passed the ball twice in the Finals for GAME WINNERS! ONCE TO PAXTON AND THEN TO KERR. Could he have taken the shots? sure could've, would he have made the shot? ??? Basketball is a team sport, it's their JOB TO PLAY THE GAME AND EXECUTE PLAYS THAT COACHES DRAW UP. LBJ is a team player NOT A SCORER... A TEAM PLAYER!!

  • Visionary - 12 years ago

Lebron should have taken that shot. Why would he rely on Udonis Haslem to save the day? To me it's a straight up lie that that was the play the spo drew up! The Miami Heat has the two best players in the Eastern Conference (James, Wade) a former 3 point shooting champ (James Jones) other guys that can shoot the three (Chalmers, Battier, Miller) and you draw up a play for Udonis Haslem???? I don't think so! Great players make big shots period.... Lebron lead the come back being down 18.....he didn't pass the ball at all in the 4th and was 8 of 9.... but he all of a sudden wants to play team ball and pass on the final possession...PLEASE! That guy was afraid to take it...all this nonsense about how he made the correct play... good players would have made that so called correct play....superstars put the team on their backs and win or lose like a leader.

  • Saul - 12 years ago

Shouldve taken that shot. Youre really gonna take a chance on Haslem making that shot under that much pressure?? There was really only one man between LeChoke and the basket. He shouldve taken it hard to the rim at least get some free throws. And its not like Haslem was THAT open... Wade was more open

  • Saul - 12 years ago

as a basketball fan i prefer my star player to take the last shot and miss than give a second choice and he miss. u wake next morning like he miss the game winner but when he give it up haunts u till he hits a game winner. as for lebron his fans are haunted his entire career. i his team mate hit the shoot it was a good but when he miss its problems. lebron needs a durant guts or a the real finisher guts KOBE

  • jm@shane08 - 12 years ago

if i were on LBj's situation,i'll do the same decision to pass the ball to an open man w/out any hesitations.we all know that Lbj is capable of that shot but he;HIMSELF relied that moment to his team8 but un4tun8ly miss that winning basket..you win some, you lose some.was being an nba player means PERFECTION?I don't think so...

  • Jeff - 12 years ago

This is just ridiculous, Haslem was wide open. The ESPN reporters were right when they said that Lebron is in a catch-22, if he had taken that shot and missed it (even though it would have been a low percentage shot considering he was double teamed) everyone would be criticizing him saying he should have passed it. Enough is enough, STOP CRITICIZING LEBRON'S GAME!

  • derick - 12 years ago

what if Haslem make the shot? ....Lebron's decision is right? ....what ever pipz....

  • Remo - 12 years ago

Lebron should of took the final shot. No matter who is open since all the great ones know how to work under pressure and in the final moments. That could be haslem's only last possession shot of his career. If lebron says how good he is hes going to have to learn to take over the final possession especially if it was a playoff game. Lebron just has to grow some balls nd shoot the ball when it counts the most. You will rarely see kobe passing the ball on the final possession. Like against the raptors this year 2 players going after him (Johnson,Derozan) and he still hit the fadeaway on the baseline. Even Luke Ridnour knows how to close games. Jeremy Lin too, he hit game winner in his like 7th game as a knick. lebron didnt hit one on miami. At the end of the day he should of shot it or passed it to dwade if hes open end of story.

  • D3MiamiAllDay - 12 years ago

Lo0k everybody, yes, King James has the ball, but that free-throw line jumper is Haslem's bread and butter. LeBron didn't prove anything about him "not being able to handle the clutch himself," he proved he knows his team. Udonis hits those shots 90% of the time, and he was wide open. Get off the King's back, he made the only move in the eyes of a Heat fan.

  • Thomas Christophersen - 12 years ago

This is ridiculous. He hit an open man who makes that shot at a high percentage! You should make open shots in the NBA. Kobe would have taken it and missed it with two guys in his face.
LBJ is the best player in the world and he is the best player because his all round game is remarkable. He got double teamed and found the open man for a perfect look, it was a fantastic play! I was always taught as a team leader to trust in your team mates. and get them involved. As the main man you have to make the big plays but that doesn't always mean taking an awful shot, it can be anything. An assist included.
At the end of the day he had won the game until Dwade decided to ruin it by making a horrific play on the defensive end!

  • gio - 12 years ago

i look upto lebron..but if he could took one more step on the dribble take a stepback and atleast aim for nice bankshot like he did in the all star game..he woulda had more of a chance to make it rather then udonis haslem who is totally unreliable at times.

  • cantwoten - 12 years ago

For the coach eric spoelstra: The play should be an isolation from lebron to drive at the basket or maybe a pull-up jumper. Whatever happens on that shot, if he gonna makes it he will be the hero. If not, well that's what we call a game.

Just a thought. Last all star game, Lebron should take the last shot instead of passing it. It is an all star game and you have nothing to loose.

Yo lebron made the right choice with that pass. If you disagree which alot of you do then you know nothing of basketball and you need to SHUT THE FUCK UP.

Just take the shot no matter what..!!!!!

If Haslem makes that shot, we all wouldn't have this discussion. I think all of these people don't realize that LeBron is also a "Team Player" not a ball hogger. Also, Haslem's mid - range shot is his bread and butter. It's like Lebron passing it to Stockton for an open 3 pointer. I don't blame lebron.

That is the right move lebrom made. He is now showing team work not "I". If He continue doing what he did as well as DWade, making their team work together offensively, then they will become champion again.

He should have taken the last shot.

    WHY??

Definitely because he's the one who started the rally early in the 4th quarter, he should have ended it. If he is urging his team mates early in the 4th to hustle and to get back on track then he'd better back it up by showing every ounce of wits he has until the very end. He should have stayed on the bench if that's the way he wanted to end the game. LBJ OWNED the 4th quarter that time (I think he didn't miss a shot in the 4th q), but he blew it away again. I'm so disappointed. I'm a big LBJ fan even before he was in the NBA. It's nice to watch him play. The way he dominates every aspect of basketball on the floor. Only thing is, he loses all those talents when he's needed the most.

    Hope he's reading these comments.

THERE ARE A LOT OF LBJ FANS OUT THERE WHO ARE REALLY DISAPPOINTED.

Maybe he wants to take those game winning shots when he's at age 50 when he can't jump high and when he can't shoot the ball over 50%... TALENT TOTALLY WASTED.. how I wish I were in his shoes.. I could have took it hard to the rim and dunk the ball or I could settle with those fade away shots..

We all seen what LeBron has done and can do right. Think about his days in cleveland and I'm pretty sure you will see LeBron taking the last shot 85% of the time and the time he makes it 60%(give or take) so it's good to say we know what LeBron is capable of. rewind remember on the day he came to miami he said he is tired of having to take the big last shot. I think he really meant it till this day and now we can see his unwillingness to take those last shot(polar opposite of carmelo who wanted to take it no matter it will cost the team the game or not). maybe he is just scared he will be the villian again for making or missing the shot. I just hope he realize sooner or later he has to step up and take those last shots again and put the team on his shoulder.

well in my opinion he should have taken the shot by driving strong to the basket to eighter get the a foul or the score to win, it's clear he has the space and a 2.3 seconds time to make it,,,it's makable and i know he can do it but he passes the ball again. He's not to blame if that is the play the coach told them but if not then maybe he's just afraid to take tha last shot. There's a saying "there's no harm on trying" and it's not a matter of life & death so i think he should try hitting the last shot to feel it and learn how to win or loose it because eigther way the HATE is on him.

I don't think there is any problem with lebron passing the ball with the game on the line, the only thing I will say against that is: UNLLES LEBRON RAYMOND JAMES DEVELOPS A GAME-WINNING-BUZZER-BEATER "SHOT" HE WILL NEVER WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!
The greatest players of all times not to win one...
