I have tried both Nigella Lawson and James Martin's recipe of Chocolate Cola Cake.
I found James Martin's recipe simpler and more moist, however I used Diet Cola instead of the ordinary Coke, and I found the frosting did not work as well, the butter seemed to separate and didn't not spread very well on the cake. So let that be a lesson for me!
Its a lovely recipe and I have had lots of compliments when I made it.
I sometimes decorate it with sweet cola bottles (not the fizzy ones).
