I had a really good think about this question. Technically, opening day is the first game that counts for stats (in Fantasy Baseball, natch). But in my heart of hearts the really REAL opening day is always the first Blue Jays home game. There's nothing like greeting all the staff who've returned from last year, grabbing a Bud Lite Lime from Carl my fav vendor, and scrunching into my season seat checking out my section for new faces, old cronies, and of course, season opener bandwagoners (who never come back again, thank god).
