Are you less of a Broncos fan now that Denver is trading Tim Tebow?

For everyone excited about Peyton all I can say is I really hope it works out as planned. At this point I am a skeptic until proven otherwise, but I will still support the Broncos and Peyton. If there is an injury or if Peyton does not have the ability to play as he has in the past the Broncos will certainly be in trouble. Then it will be back to the drawing board again for the never ending search for a possible franchise QB. I am starting to believe this may elude Denver forever and this issue falls firmly in the hands of managements decisions. Do I think Tebow was the franchise guy? I doubt it, but I feel at least he deserved a chance after getting us to the playoffs. To all in Denver that bad mouth him remeber he still got us there and he still was part of beating those darn yellow towels. I would say this about any QB that did this for the Bronco's and whether it was Tebow or someone else, who cares? He made last year exciting even with the terrible throws and also brought back the roar and electricity to Mile High which has been absent from Bronco's football for a long time now. I look forward to watching this season and hoping for the best for us as well as Tebow. I still feel a little cheated for now by this gamble but lets see what happens. Go Bronco's, go Tebow.

By the way Elway detractors..... Elway was such a bad guy he let Tebow pick between two teams that offered a trade for Tebow, the Jacksonville Jaguars and the NY Jets. Tebow picked the Jets which cost the Broncos $500,000 because Jacksonville offered more money and 6 spots in the draft. What an awful human being Elway is.......

Yeah, right! Almost no other NFL teams would have done that.....

What Tebow Zealots don't understand is, they are the ones hurting his Denver career. Time and again you hear "NFL insiders" say they spoke to a team source and they don't want that type of circus around their team. I think Tebow gets a raw deal from his ZEALOTS and ironically, they absolutely hastened his departure from Denver. YOU PEOPLE ARE PROVING IT WAS THE DENVER TEBOWS!

A Gator fan made a comment just after we drafted Tebow. He said he is a huge Gator fan but couldn't stand Tebow. Tebow became bigger then the Gators and every minute it was Tebow Time. I think his exact words were, it was all Tebow, all the time. He said something like I hope that doesn't happen to you, good luck; or something similar to that. I didn't believe him for a second. But sure enough if you read all of the local Denver news Facebook pages he was spot on. If you were critical of Tebow in anyway (even if justified) you were smacked pretty bad by a Tebow supporter. There are people left and right saying how bad the Broncos did Tebow and how Tebow is the best thing since beer or sliced bread and now they won't be fans. Great, don't let the door hit ya. We will never know if Tebow would have remained a Bronco with the addition of Manning but I'll guarantee you this, if Elway's twitter feed amongst other things didn't fill up with unbelievably hateful statements and threats every time Elway seemingly said something that Tebow zealots perceived as negative, the chances of him staying here in Denver would have been much higher. Nobody wants to put up with that stuff. It's very sad that you zealots want to put an unproven kid who had trouble throwing the ball in front of a true Denver hero; John Elway.

I actually feel for Tebow. Great kid and he doesn't bring it on himself. If this crazy cult like following persists, it will continue to hurt his career in pro football and limit his opportunity's. Just look at Denver.....

Have yet to find a single 'fan,' who is mad about the Tebow trade, AND can tell me (without the use of the internet) the second player we selected in LAST YEAR'S draft. Knowledgeable football fans love this move. Broncos' fans are excited about this move. Tebow fans are heartbroken.

The Broncos have made excellent football decisions this week! John Elway did an amazing job at landing the greatest free agent in NFL history.

I was a Broncos fan for 25+ years, but no more. I'm tired of the yearly QB drama and am just sick that my once favorite team traded such a special FOOTBALL PLAYER like Tim Tebow. The last few weeks will go in the history books as infamous for Elway & Fox and Pat Bowlen will soon rue the day when Tebow goes on to be a perennial Pro Bowl QB with Super Bowl win(s) under his belt. By contrast, McD's reign will not have looked so bad.

Sadly, Goodbye Broncos. Go Tebow/Go Jets! And to the mouthbreathing Tebow-haters....have fun with your miserable lives!

Been a Bronco fan all my adult life but no longer. Very disappointed in Tim Tebow treatment but you know he will do great things where he is going. GOD bless him. Getting a Jets jersey and watching the Jets...GO JETS AND TIM TEBOW!!

I've been a Broncos fan since the early 70's and a season ticket holder since the tickets moved to me from my father. This is a game people. It's about winning and excelling at a team sport. If anyone watched Tim Tebow and thought he was a TRUE fulltime NFL QB, you do not know football at all.

When the Broncos put him up for trade, who was interested............2 teams, and as a backup at best. So who knows football talent better, you whining Tebow lovers, or the GMs that are paid millions to know the game ? If he TRULY had some value as a QB, then it would have been a frenzy today to get him, and it clearly was not.

Tebow had a nice 6 game run, but that 7-3 game versus KC was brutal. Tebow looked like a middle school QB out there. He'll never be a fulltime starter in the NFL.

Those are the facts, not opinions. To dispute facts is asinine. If you REALLY are a Broncos fan.........the best thing was to get rid of the farce called Tim Tebow. Sad, but true.

I wish Tebow well, but am totally excited to have a real QB in Denver going forward !

The momentum and excitement that Tim Tebow brought not only to our city as a player for the Broncos, but to young people all over the globe, was a huge boost to our State. Tim also was a great team player and encouraged his teammates on and off of the field.

To trade him with the hope of Manning winning a Super Bowl for Denver is a very risky move. Manning will only be as good as his defensive team allows him to be. And who do we really have to promise that?

When the Jets are playing any other team, they will now have my time and attention. Denver will falter again for a while. And really? 90+ million to get Manning? ******sigh********

Things were looking so good and FUN again for a season. I wish Manning the best of chances..... ....But will not count on him being the "super man" to pull off anything any more spectacular than Tim Tebow has thus far, and what might have been had he been coached a little more sincerely and harder here in Denver.

I am a Bronco fan regardless of who plays quarterback. I am a Tebow fan regardless of which team he plays for. I will continue to follow both fervently. Those who only support the Broncos because of Tebow aren't Bronco fans.

You asked tonight on your news cast what did we want. We wanted Elway to be true to his word and leave Tim Tebow in the starting QB spot. Tim is a man with intergrity, one that I could admire, one that was a good role model for the kids, one that would say, "It's only a game", and he is so right. There is nothing about football that is really important for the man on the street. The only one it is really important to, is the owners and the players. I've been a die hard Bronco fan for over 30 years, but this has changed my opnion of the management and I definetly will not be watching this year. I'll be watching Tim play wherever he lands. Vic you being such a Manning supporter, (a player well past his prime), I'll probably not be watching your news channel anymore either.

Very dissapointed in the Broncos. Had tickets for 41 years. Feel like they ignored what their paying fans wishes were and dumped Tebow for nothing. Every poll on every website I have seen has the same results as this and people (including you Vic Lombardi) still don't get it. Tim Tebow was our quarterback, Peyton Manning is the Colts quarterback. What is so hard to understand about that?

  • Rugo - 12 years ago

"I always thought he might be full of himself" ... come on. He's a perhaps the greatest quarterback in the history of the game (and he's a Stanford grad). I would say if he wasn't a little narcissistic, something would be wrong. That said, I think he always comes off as honest and heartfelt in these pressers. Life isn't about always being profoundly positive about everything, a la Tim Tebow.

  • Sam - 12 years ago

This absolutely blows my mind. How can a real Broncos fan not be excited about this!? We just got one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. Since most of the "Yes" responses here are from women, I am assuming you don't care about winning the football games and cared more for the Tebow story.

  • Bret_Parrish - 12 years ago

How on earth could any Bronco fan not like this move? The "Tebow is Justin Bieber" comment is dead on and, Elway isn't interested in the flavor-of-the-week he had in Tebow. I say good riddance.

  • Andrew - 12 years ago

Wow, you can tell who the true Broncos fans are!

    Let the Manning era begin!

  • Brad - 12 years ago

One more example that there is no more integrity or ethics in the NFL anymore. Two of them today alone! They have been going the way of the NBA for at least the last 10 years. Pretty soon people will realize they are spending thousands of dollars watching people they really don't care about anymore and wonder why. Already happening in some markets. The NFL still doesn't realize they are killing the golden goose. Tebow was the only fresh air they have had for years, and that is what people loved. Be careful of all the talking heads on the pregame shows, they are drinking the koolaid and leading the NFL down the path of self destruction. Pretty sad. Where have you gone Roger Staubach?

  • Bette - 12 years ago

I am not only less of a Broncos' fan, I am not a John Elway fan any longer. I always thought he might be full of himself, and I think that is pretty obvious now. I'm not a season ticket holder, so the Broncos couldn't care less what I think. But I sure won't be buying Bronco shirts, etc. I started watching the Broncos again this past year because of Tim Tebow. Now there's a guy with class.

  • vicki - 12 years ago

I agree with Kim. Elway wanted to get rid of Tebow from day 1. I seem to remember Elway was pretty bad when he first became a Bronco. What if Pat Bowlen and the coaching staff would have given up on him? Tim will be great whever he goes because he has integrity, a high work ethic, and strong faith in God.

  • Kim - 12 years ago

I was extremely dissapointed in the way that this was handled what ever happened to integrity and honor. Tim has shown way more class through this then leadership has put forth. I thought that we put our children into sports to teach teamwork, honor and what ever happened to its not winning it is how you play the game. I think that the leadership of this team has a lot to learn and yes to the previous response I would not buy a used car from Elway or any of them to be honest. I don't care how well Manning plays NO man is worth 96 million dollars when there are people starving in this country, schools closing because of budget cuts and people out of jobs they are seriously out of wack.....

  • Lee Anne - 12 years ago

Less of a BRONCOS FAN....No, absolutely not!
Disappointed in losing a favorite player...Yes!

  • js - 12 years ago

Learned a lot about Elway in the last few days.
Wouldn't buy a used car from him.
I'll not spend another nickle or minute supporting the Broncos.
