Tebow is a nice guy and good football player, just not a starting QB in the NFL. John Elway knew this. Is he a good back up? Sure. Can he be good at another position? Probably. Does his passing need work? Absolutely, but he should have that mostly developed already by this time.
People want to make excuses for Tebow like "if he had gotten the pre-season snaps" or "they need time to build the team around him" which is a bunch
of bull! In the NFL,when you get a shot to be "the man", you go out and make it happen.
Kurt Warner went from stocking shelves at a grocerie store to a Super Bowl Champion. He wasn't a starter. He didn't get the pre-season snaps. The team wasn't built around him. Kurt simply got his shot to show the world what he could do.
If Tebow wants the job, then he needs to get to work and stop "living on a prayer!" (punn intended)

@Bill When has Tebow ever said or done anything to say "Look at me and my Faith". His "Tebowing" as the press has dubbed it was something he started doing in high school. It wasn't until last year that the media blew it way out of proportion. For four years at the University of Florida he did it and no one ever made any big deal about it. This is a nice kid who does a lot for kids and people who are sick and in terrible circumstances. Aside from that he just wants to play football and win games. You should learn more about him as a person before you pass such harsh judgement. He didn't call the press conference. The Jets and the media did.

People need to understand that it's not Tebow that creates the media. It's really the media that creates the media.

Tebow is a great kid!!!!a great football player.....but if its anything like it was in Denver...I know I live there..its going to be a circus!!!!!plus that look @ me and my faith.. isnt that a little narcissistic?oh and what backup QB in NFL HISTORY!!!!HAS A PRESS CONFERENCE?
