I think Parcell's can only create problems, confusion and inconsistency for Saints in this scenario, even though he is a great coach. He also has no long term vested interest to worry about.
Let the existing remaining Saints coaches lead the team, they will do things consistent with they way they have been (minus bounty program). They still have long careers ahead of them and have something to prove. This will work out better for the Saints.

Since peyton and parcells have worked together in the past and are close friends, who's to say parcells would really be the one coaching the team? It would be too easy for peyton to hang back in the shadows and continue coaching secretly

they would be better off with an assistant. If it aint broke, etc. Parcells is best (best ever) as a from -the -ground -up turnaround artist. Brees et al--this finely tuned machine, doesn't need a heavy like Parcells, could create unnecessary problems.
