I loooove me some e-readers! Oh gosh there's nothing better than pulling out me iPad and being all SHAMALAMA-DING-DONG IT'S WAY OF SHADOWS TIME B@#$%ES!!!!!!!!! And you can take them everywhere, too! At home, at class, in church, and in the emergency room!!!

And don't even get me STARTED on those settings! You can make the screen get brighter and darker, and the words get smaller and bigger!! Can't do THAT with one of them old-fashioned paper whosie-what's-it's. I have literally spent hours just watching the display light go on and off, on and off, on and off. And with the letters, just ogling intoxicatedly as the word count for each page turns into about -7 because the letters are like INYOURFACE HUUUUUUUUGE!

And for all ya'll who be complaining about e-readers, SHUT UP. Don't you know Paper KILLS TREES? For every paper-forged book you buy, you chop down, on average, roughly 10 grandfather oaks, leaving like 600 newborn woodland critters and elves HOMELESS. DO YOU LIKE WRECKING HOMES, HOME WRECKER?

But yeah, I still love the smell and feel of a physical book in my hands after a long day working, though. :D

Nothing beats holding a book and getting lost in the pages. That being said, e-readers are an interesting idea for packing multiple books, but how do you find that new author that isn't widely publicised? I picked up the Night Angel Trilogy while browsing for other books and loved every page. Maybe I would have heard of The Black Prism or seen it as a new release while looking for other books, but half of the fun of discovery is looking into what I want to read, not what the publishers think is the next "big thing".

I haven't actually used an e-reader before, and I'll probably get around to it, but there is nothing for me that beats the feel and smell of a real book. That and I one day want to have a proper floor to ceiling big f#@% off type library :)

I actually intend to read Brent's books on an e-reader for my initial read, as I've done so far, and to buy the big, hardback/special editions when they come out.

Poll is confounded by mixing ebook reader prices and book prices. ebook readers are cheap and awesome but the prices of ebooks are too high.

BOOOOO e-readers suck. There's nothing like the smell and feel of a new book. MMMMM!!!

I love my Kindle. I will say, though, that I always end up buying the hard copy version of the books I really adore (such as the Night Angel trilogy) because I love having a library.

I somewhat reluctantly got an e-reader for travel purposes; you simply can't pack enough books when going to another country for four months. To that end, my e-reader is invaluable...but I'll always buy hard copies of the books I love.
