I doubt this poll is a true reflection of valid votes. You can vote numerous times. Since non-dog people have so much more time on their hands because they're not driving around the County looking for open spaces to run their dogs...they're having a little fun playing with this poll. So lame - get a life!

77% NO! What a bunch of gerbil-loving dog haters. Dogs should be allowed on leash at any time and off leash during appropriate times. I can't believe that SC County isn't more dog friendly. We're accepting of so many crazy people and are such gutless PC bots, yet man's/woman's/person's (just being SC-PC) best friends are not welcomed and loved everywhere. A person who doesn't love dogs is a soulless dementor.

Frankly, I'd much rather spend my time at the beach with dogs!
Dogs are generous of spirit, and bring a smile to many faces. If dogs
are allowed on the beaches, perhaps more of them will be rescued
from the shelters, since dogs can be easily exercised at the beach. The
beaches are for living creatures, not solely humans. And while a few
dog owners may not clean up after their dogs, that's a very small number
compared to the many people who litter our beaches and oceans. Come
on, friends, open up your hearts, and let the dogs have beach access! They
will thank you for it!!!!

Absolutely, dogs should be allowed on-leash at any time, off-leash during less busy hours, say before 10am and after 4pm. As a great tourist destination, Capitola would do itself a favor by being more dog-friendly. We, like many others, travel everywhere with our dog and, no matter how beautiful or fantastic a place is, if it is not dog-friendly, we do not visit. By being more dog-friendly, Capitola can compete better with Carmel for tourist dollars.
Only during early morning say before 8 Am and after 6 PM. Not during the times when families are using the beach. One person's wonderful dog is another person's terror.
And pick up the poop!
