Is it possible to drop taking sides of a Political Party, first and foremost, and use common sense for once?
As stated before, if prices for building a new one rather than keeping the two older ones, is comparable, than wouldn't it make more sense to merge into one facility only with easier means to get to and from, with excessive parking that doesn't disrupt home owners within the area?
Is it only the contractors that aware that it is great savings to recycle and sell scrap metals and materials from the other buildings to help the cost of construction for the new?
A bigger mega-hospital.. that will create more jobs and employment opportunities for younger employees, trainees and students becoming educated in this field?
The list of pros can go on and on. What is on the cons list? tax payers complaining (ITS A GREAT INVESTMENT)
Stick the mega-hospital by the new jail. out of the way of busy and heavy traffic lead ways.

Why to invest in old cracked walls if cost of building new one is comparable. We need park around hospital to speed recovery and prevent people from dying too soon, while depressed in small room with beds..When facility is aging , safety issue come.. connected with huge load of technology, as ex. radiation coming from all those sofisticated diagnostic machines . Patients and hospital staff should be protected, and personally, I doubt, if hospital walls presently meet the criteria..if yes , it is not permanent. X-rays, Gamma rays..that can be lethal , but definitely is linked to cancers. And service in such small hospitals is slow. We need something big and modern and focusing on extensive family care, without massive sending families to London and Toronto. I really mean that.

Modern medicine means technology that was not even dreamt of 25 years ago, MRIs, CATscans and all kinds of diagnostic tools we now take for granted, need custom-built, climate controlled space.... Plus room for expansion. Patients and medical staff need more spacious and uplifting treatment and waiting areas ....... YES, I support a new, state of the art super hospital. I doubt very much that staff will be reduced, just redistributed to give better and more efficient service. Reduced waiting time anyone???
Why should we ever consider this merging of hospitals, while we have already spent millions of dollars in Hotel Dieu Grace and Windsor Regional hospitals which they are still doing some contruction. Furthermore again to eliminate jobs. I can't believe they are actually talking about this and why are they even considering such a project. The hospitals we already have serves the purpose we need.

I can't believe this is even being considered as an option. This is just another opportunity for government to cut jobs. People always look at the public sector and want to cut cut cut. Think of how many jobs would be considered redundant and force the people in those positions into unemployment. Cutting isn't always the answer. At this time in our city, we shouldn't be looking at ways to eliminate employment.

With the current cuts to health care, and considering whats been spent on the existing facilities, why are we even considering this?
