I've been to France and have seen this 'cruelty'. In a word, it's not cruel. It doesn't harm the animal. They all looked pretty happy. What's nuts is that a fringe group can impose its whacked out view on everyone else. If you don't want to eat foie gras, don't. Leave my foie gras alone! Sure it's not the most healthy food to eat but me and my wine will deal with that...

You hit the nail right on the head. I really want to eat human baby and they won't let me do that either. Stopping the torture of animals is just like being gassed by the millions.
