the TT has to be the best experience everyone there is bike oriented conversaton is easy even with language barriers. roads are bumpy but fantasic. youcan ride a raod and do dejavu every mile, and at speed that would normally get you nicked. As a IOM copper said to me, when questioned about the white sign with the black diagonal stripe, GFL just keep it siny side up and rubber side down.

For me, it has to be Germany. Returning again this year to the Eiffel region, staying in Nurburg. Not only is it where the best toll road is (Nurburgring) but the roads all around are nothing short of fantastic. 5 days last year of nothing but riding twisties! Plan a route in the b&b the night before, stick it in the sat nav and ride all day. No destination, just a huge loop back to the hotel that evening to plan the next days ride. 5 days and hardly ever the same road, only covered about a third of the region! Beautiful scenery wherever you go. Try it!

I am torn between taking a sport bike such as the ZX10R and touring the beautiful countryside in Germany or perhaps Ireland, and taking a adventure touring Bike such as Honda's V4 Crossover and exploring the Australian outback. Such things are what dreams are made of .

I've ridden through most of North America, Europe and small areas in Africa. What type of riding one prefers, really dictates where someone will find their dream ride. For me, a decent handling motorcycle + well-paved twisties = bliss. While I've done it many times, riding hundreds of kilometres of relatively straight or poorly paved/gravel roads become boring even if the scenery is stunning. My experiences of camping in the rain while filthy from a day's ride is great for tall tales of manhood at the pub, but not my idea of a dream holiday. If that makes me a pussy...meow.

Due to my preference for radial tires & tipping the horizon, Western Canada, Northern California and the Pyrenees are hard to beat. Europe, by far, has the most little roads that are well paved, reasonably well marked, with little traffic. The fact that there's usually decent, inexpensive B&B in the next hamlet makes unscheduled exploration all the better, particularly with a pillion. Europe and California are best visited either before or after the July/August peak tourist camper van season.

As the founder and owner of a motorcycle tour company for over 10 years, I've made a living finding the best roads, scenery, places to stay and places to eat for our guests. My favourite rides in North America are the Coast & Kootenay mountain ranges in British Columbia and any B roads North of San Francisco in California. Road rides in North America do require a little more planning than the "old country" as the distances between gas and a place to spend the night are fewer and farther between.

In Europe, renting a bike in Biarritz, then heading East along the French/Spanish border is pure bliss. Decent roads with little traffic offer spirited road riding and terrific scenery. One or two up, there's no need to plan exact daily destinations as just about any stop has enough culture, accommodation, food and wine to compliment a day judging apexes.
