Was judge right to strike down drug testing for state workers?

    If they get their work done and don't call in excessively and there is no reason to suspect a worker then leave them alone. They do have to be tested in order to get the job. Stop wasteful spending.

    Companies conduct drug test and background checks on applicants. What makes the state workers different. These employees represent the state of Florida.

    Drug testing is acceptable as a condition for hiring and subsequently, if suspicion arises relating to job performance, or accidents. Beyond that, the policy is intrusive and a waste of state funds. If corporations choose to support the policy of random, unwarranted testing, let them. It's their money.

    The private sector is tested when hired and tested at random in some companies, why should the government sector be any different??
    I'm all for testing as we need to make sure all employees are and not high or intoxicated during work hours or worse...… This is so crazy

    This is judicial folly taken to the limit. Government employees exempt and not the tax paying workforce? Now you understand the Tea Party.
