grew up on marmite...was a big fan...did the big OE and just not the same...after a year in the land of OZ I was hooked on vegemite...that was in 87, never gone back. My child is a marmite junky now and not impressed with the shortage. It is the only thing the little toad will have on bread...

I've voted other. British Marmite is my fave. Other sells here in NZ as My Mate, but it is still different to the real UK Marmite. I was mad enough to do a taste test!

No Marmite shortage here in Sweden - luckily I was sent a big jar for Christmas and we had still been working our way through the one from the last care parcel.
My half-Swedish half-Kiwi kids LOVE the stuff. My Swedish husband thinks it's weird, but eats it sometimes anyway - I think he doesn't want to admit that he likes it.

Rations on Marmite...who would ever have thought! We totally ran out here in Melbourne months ago. Luckily one of my friends, who is a total hoarder, had three jars hidden away so I managed to buy one off her! I hear that it will be back on the shelves in early August...
