I found no logic or wisdom in Jim's post, but plenty in Ben's.

    Dear Jim,

Please show me these scientific sources that lead you to believe that since I am a gay man "deviating from this design and using the anus (which is used to eliminate bacteria and disease from the body)" I am going to abuse insurance and thereby have no right to get married?? Also were do lesbians and transgendered people fall into this? Are they allowed to get married and gay men are not? Because to my knowledge they do not have sex in the anus as you are implying in your argument.

I am confused by your logic. Does this argument carry to having colonoscopies done since that is going against the design of the anus? For it is common knowledge all men should have colonoscopies once we hit a certain age to prevent colon cancer.

Another point. Marriage has been redefined over 50 times in the last 300 years, so please let me know how this change affects you? Obviously you will not be partaking in the fabulousness that would be a gay wedding in the near future so please stop worrying your little head about it. It will be ok and the world will still keep spinning and the sun will come up tomorrow if I am allowed to get married to man. Your marriage, if you are married, and all other heterosexual marriages will stay intact and you can live your life the exact same way you have been. Isn't that great news!

Final point. God made Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve had kids and so forth and so forth. Now, somewhere along the line there was a gay child produced. So...Heterosexuals created Homosexuals. Following so far? Ok, so following that rational logic is stands to reason that GOD made homosexuals as well. Science has also proven the fact as well that people are born gay just so you are aware. Anyway I digress, if God gave us a gift of marriage why would he not give it to all his children since he created all his children meaning the gay and straight ones? This sacred gift has been defiled for thousands of years by these things called divorces and affairs. So there is no logical way, notice how I am using logic and not emotion, gay marriage can ruin marriage.

In conclusion, I want to be married so that I am not a second class citizen. I deserve that right just as much as anyone else if I pay my taxes, follow the law and am a decent human being. I will not "refuse to align with the definition of marriage" since the definition will be changed. Words change meanings and grow new meanings all the time. That is one of the many joys of the English language. Also, it is rude to talk on a group's behalf that you are not part of. Please don't speak for the LGBTQA community and say, "Certainly the homosexuals do not want to follow the origins and definition of marriage themselves". Have you ever asked a homosexual if they would or would not follow the origin and definition of marriage?

Jump on board or jump off the train because sorry to tell you more and more people are realizing that equality is the right thing to do.

God loves me the way I am and I'm sorry you didn't learn that important lesson from his teachings.

    Sincerely,

    Ben

Where is logic and wisdom? Why do Homosexuals want to be married? What is marriage? Science clearly demonstrates and proves that population of our species was designed between a male and female or man and woman. Science and medicine have proven that deviating from this design and using the anus (which is used to eliminate bacteria and disease from the body) is sooner or later going to result in contamination and infection. Statistics clearly show that the spread of disease and infection is significantly higher among homosexuals. Why then do homosexuals want to be married? Is there an emotional difference in a name alone? Are the homosexuals more in love if they are married? Are they denied being in love if they are not? Or is it to share among insurance carriers the expense of the medical costs associated with the spread of diseases and infection contracted from this practice?
Are those who oppose the marriage of homosexuals attempting to deny them the right to be together? The answer is no. What then is denied, is it the right to align with the historical origins of marriage which is that God ordained marriage as the union between a man and a woman? Certainly the homosexuals do not want to follow the origins and definition of marriage themselves, so they are the ones refusing to align with the definition of marriage. What then is at stake? When you answer this question you begin to see how we have thrown logic and wisdom out the window and let emotions rule the day.

It seems that the people have spoken. >75% support gay marriage. I'm sick of these old people and their "old" points of view. If you don't want to marry someone of the same sex, then don't. Down the road, once gay marriage becomes mainstream, an it eventually will, the church will say that God has changed his mind and loves all of his children, regardless of sexual orientation. (remember when they did the same thing with African Americans?) It's really only a matter of time. Stop delaying the inevitable and focus your energy on things that help people.

We all can make our own decisions, what makes people think they can tell others who they can and cannot love? Everyone has thier own choice to whom they fall in love with, we dont chose it for you. Anyone can love whoever they want it doesnt mater what race they are or what they do for a living what thier social status is or if they are man or woman. If you dont agree with same sex relationships or marraiges then you dont have to but for those who do should be able to have that choice.
