Shaq was a great player, hall of famer and has a good personality in public, but that does not transcend into a good coach or GM. He left Orlando and Los Angeles on bad terms, went to Miami, Cleveland and Boston, etc. He was never trustworthy, always undermined any organization that did suit his purpose, most of the time he was never in top shape, but played of pure size and talent. If he was focus and more dedicated to the game, he would of won more rings. The hours of dedication and commitment to success as a coach or GM is probably not in him. As a sports commentator there is really no conseqeunces or penalties for being wrong, just be knowledgable about the basics and have a personality that appeals to the public, he is right where he needs to be, with others carrying him along.

Shaq should go for the coaching job instead. Why? because in his entire career he has been the center of attention on his team. He has experienced so many different teams and still dominated. He can help dwight dominate at the position, just like how howards more, shaq can provide him with it.
