well American, I am glad that you are so sure, read what Chef Justic John Roberts said and how he changed the bill so that it could now be constitutional.

The bill as written, called for people to be penalized or fined for not purchasing health care, that is and was found to be UNCONSTITUTIONAL. So he has reworded the bill to say that if people do not purchase health care they will be charged a higher tax, that is constitutional. Based on the fact that congress can impose taxes. However now they are imposing taxes on us for not buying what they want us to buy.

Therefore, what I was stating is that the bill is unconstitutional because even with the changes in the wording, we are going to be penalized, origionally by a fine assessed on your tax return and now you will pay a higher tax rate if you do not purchase health care.

Actually, Ess, it IS Constitutional, unless you know of another government body with the right of judicial review.

A step in the right direction to single payer Medicare for Everyone. Sad that so many people have been fooled by false propaganda from greedy for profit health care businesses/interests. Our billion dollar company and its employees were SELF INSURED for medical care. We were able to save millions annually by having a bluecross/blueshield company only administer the plan for about 7% of the actual medical expenses incurred by our company employees. The bluecross company was not able to add on any other admin or profit expenses that typically add another 15 to 25% to the total cost. Because of economy of scale - employees numbering in the thousands, total cost per employee and family was/is well under $10K per year for a top notch insurance coverage. With far greater economy of scale, single payer could do even a better job!!

We are now one step closer to being ruled by our government instead of the way our fore fathers wanted it, a nation ruled by the people. Welcome to the socialisit states of America.

I loved the rewriting of the penality for not having health care as just a higher tax, really are people that stupid that they don't see what happened is they forced it through yet another loop hole because it is and was unconstitutional !!!!
