If Woods is not the best, then who is? Furthermore, would anyone care as much if someone else was number one? The interest he generates alone carries all the evidence needed.

How can you say Tiger is the best in the world? He has sucked for the past three years. He may have three wins THIS YEAR, but you have to consider 5 YEARS when discussing a "best golfer". Consistency is key to being a great golfer.
Tiger had to rebuild the way he played golf because of lower body injuries. He could no longer swing as he did in the past and learning how to do something all over again is a time consuming process. He is finally comfortable with his new swing and is definitely back. The intimidation factor will soon spread across the PGA once again and he will be the dominant force as he was in the past. He passed Nicklaus on Sunday and he needs just 8 wins to pass or tie Snead's record.

He may have been a terrible husband, but he was always the best golfer , may be with a bad patch.
Being number #1 in golf is such a hot potato, that nobody could hold on to it for too long, after him and now it seems like he is back to reclaim it.
Never underestimate the heart of a Lion.He is a winner, when it comes to Golf.
I love this game and his game.

Tiger's short game has lacked touch and clearly wasn't as sharp as it has been in the past. But after what I saw at AT&T I believe his short game is sharp and I can now say without question that Tiger is the best in the world right now.
