    Voted 'sure, keeping disabled athletes with prosthetics out is indefensible'. Voting otherwise makes sports appear more important than it is- as if it is sacred to us, as the 'Olympics' were to ancient Greeks.
    Having said that, perhaps sports is quite important in some remote way, which may indicate something negative: if the wastage of resources, incl. funds spent on sports medicine, is of some necessity, then isn't military spending and war comparable? DARPA? Both war and sports are gladiatorial, however from-left-field that may sound.
    Could never understand why grown men would want to get themselves so injured as in football, hockey and worst of all, boxing. Only justification is the economic, etc. (R & D) in replacing knees and so forth.

    Or perhaps there's no rhyme/reason.
