Thanks Nipple the Kid. "Were" is corrected. And yes, for me too. I would never use piercings in my enlarged nipples. I personally don't think piercings look even masculine or sexy. But then - many men think just different and they love the feeling. What everybody likes.

I have a bit larger than "normal" nipples. They are fine. I can't figure out why anyone would want some metal there, but whatever. Self-abuse takes many forms and I don't see it as "body art" or anything other than silly.
Our bodies come fully equipped to be fantastic erogenous zones without any enhancement.

Both of my nipples became very sensitive after piercing both of them. I stretched both of them to a 6 gauge. I presently have an 8 gauge in my left nipple. Both nipples are still quite large, and still VERY sensitive. I find myself playing with them, rubbing them, tweaking them quite a lot. I LOVE how sensitive they are. It seems my nipples are "tied" to my penis in that stimulation to both drives me over the edge a lot to ejaculation. I didn't "abuse" mine, I enjoyed them.

My nipples got long in my early 20's through abuse. Permanent 12mm length was achieved after piercing... scar tissue developed 15 years ago when re-pierced...
