Should state suspend tolling on Hwy 520 while I-90 is closed for Blue Angels?

I don't understand why this is a question. There is a toll on 520 so that users of the bridge pay for construction of a new one. When I-90 is closed everyone crossing Lake Washington is a user of 520, therefore they should all be contributing to the toll. After the bridge is finished I-90 drivers will still use the 520 bridge a few times a year during closures, so it makes sense that they should pay the toll for construction a few times a year.

I haven't been over to the Eastside since the toll went into effect. I wonder if they miss the money I used to spend over there?

I-90 should be a toll highway also. Single bridge toll is a joke.

Mike, spot on. If you choose to live somewhere, and commute into/out of the city, then wait for the free bridge to open, or pay the toll. Quite frankly, we should have tolls on all of our roads. That would be what a true "Capitalist" would want. It's about time we paid our fair share.

Run it like a business; max out the toll when demand is highest. That's how we buy airline tickets, hotel rooms, and the model of variable pricing that is spreading to other services and products. The lunch menu is less expensive than dinner for similar meals. Many ask for government to operate more like a business, here is one opportunity to act like a business.
