Do you watch cable TV?

I gave up TV 2 years ago. Quite simply, I discovered that I much rather be with my kids, work on my company or be with friends.

Its been a long time since missing out on a "popular" TV show really meant anything.

Read a book. Go for a walk. Go to the gym. Play a game with the spouse. How can passively watching TV compare?

I use Slingbox located at someone else's house to watch any live events (sports) that I need. Other than that, you can pretty much get most of the TV shows online now. DVDs and Blu-Ray for movies and past seasons of TV shows. I'm pretty much all set as far as removing myself from cable/satellite's iron grasp.

I haven't owned a TV in more than 15 years. I watch TV shows that are recommended by friends on DVD or iTunes. It was a bummer when the networks started moving towards only allowing viewing through their Web sites (why bother if there are still going to be ads) or PC-only solutions.

    Cable is a total rip-off.

Actually -- I turned off the cable, but they still serve analog cable on the tube. That said, about all I watch is a daily show here or there. Doing AppleTV, + NetFlix on the Roku.

I have to have my local sports, especially the Flyers. I can't go through a hockey season not watching the games!
