Durant is turing into a washout. He fails to deliver in the second half of the game and deserves to sit out the next couple of games - perhaps he will then play with more intensity

Durant is the Rider quarterback. He is durable. He has heart. Yes he makes some mistakes. When I last checked every quarterback does. We do need more intelligent play calling - involving a variety of receivers and stretching the field. Please don't hand off deep in the back field when it is 2nd and one and 3rd and one to a fleet back that is relatively small. Dariant Durant can still be and will be an elite quarterback in this league. -- if he is given or makes intelligent calls.

I used to be a durant supporter, but from watching his play from the grey cup of 2010 up to this point he has steadily digressed as a playmaker. It is quite obvious that he cannot read defensive schemes on the fly, meaning he doesnt have the capability to chang a call when he lines up to the ball. His release of the football is too slow, he seems to be hesitant throwing the football to his targets. He should be in a position to throw his recievers open and for some reason his accuracy is very poor. Finally his reads are looking more and more predictable , i.e. looking for dressler or getzlaf. I mean how does the fans know what type of other recievers we have when he wont give them a chance and make a play.

Durant's numbers are pretty good overall but he has the exasperating habit of making mistakes at the worst times (remember the two interceptions in respective Grey Cup losses?) He also fumbles a lot. At times, too, he looks indecisive and SHOULD take off and run way more than he does. I'm just a fan and know only a small bit of what really goes on, so I'm hardly an authority....just a paying customer who wants a better performance from the team leader. Starting Willy might light the appropriate fire under Darian and prompt the improved performance of which he is capable.
