I agree with TH. I love The Office and i feel like a need to jump in in defense of this article too, for some reason.

I don't mean to be hyper-critical, but Ms. Busis is a bit presumptious in her assessment of the last two seasons. I thought they handled it very well - people do leave workplaces frequently and life goes on - and I think the show did a good job of dealing with the boss leaving and Spader was a great stopgap. Agreed, the show has probably run its course, but as the more than 60% of respondents have indicated, it wasn't as bad as this writer indicated. That's hardly an abandonment by the fan base. The show's certainly not what it was in its heyday, but I don't think it ever "jumped the shark" either. Just one opinion and I don't write this to impugn Ms. Busis as a journalist; I just disagree and I'm looking forward to see how they wrap things up.
