I think the movie should NOT cast men that are openly gay... not just because they're gay... but because it would ruin the fantasy for us women! If we know the man is gay, then the scenes won't be as believable or satisfying... because we would know he was "acting" and such a scene or life would not - and could not - truely exist.
Well... that's my thought anyway.....

it's not just about the look it's about the actors ability to pull it off, can they ACT like christian Grey , do they have that charismatic charm of christian and are they willing to do sex scenes. So yea I think Ian Somerhalder can do all that. And second vote would goto Henry Cavill (from the Tudors) I like Tom Welling and Matt bomer seems maybe ideal (though not more than Ian) , but although I love watching Alexander Skarsgard in True Blood (one of my fave shows) I don't think he's all that suited to fifty shades I duno he just doesn't make me want to melt like suave and sexy Ian :) Christian has to look like a GOD (as Anastasia describes him) though I would say Ian would need to change his hair colour but that's about it haha.
