I strongly feel that autism, dyspraxia should be included in the Paralympics . My son has autism , dyspraxia and a lesion in his brain giving him epilepsy . He can't compete against his peers . But he can run a 100 metre sprint in 9.6 seconds provided noone shoots a gun and just says go . All disabilites should be included . He disnt meet criteria for the special Olympics because his IQ is higher than 75 . So he is discriminated against fir having some intelligence from special Olympucs and he not disabled enough for Paralympics .
It seems to be against the ethos of inclusion in sport . It's time it became inclusion for all .
