One thing I'm kind of shocked, even if it's just complete Fanon, is that Princess Faust wasn't included in this lol.
For Celestia, while I like her I think would do better because if she had more screen time in an episode. I'm really hoping for a Twilight / Celestia episode for Season 3, I sense a strong mother / daughter play between those two I'd like to see an episode kind of expanding uppon. ( Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if Celestia thinks all of ponies and other creatures in Equestria are her children in a sense )
One of the reasons I adore Luna though was that while she and her Sister are praised as Goddesses she shows a lot of fault ( in a good way, please don't harm me my princess! lol ) mainly due to her obviously not being around for 1,000 years but still has a cute factor but also a cool factor to add to it thanks to Luna Eclipse! Celestia, while I believe she shows some fault still comes off as too close to perfection as I could truely bare. I love her and all, don't get me wrong.
I adore Cadance, she's so cute lol. =P
This may change for season 3 though, so keep that in thought!
Just about everything about Luna in Luna Eclipsed was awesome, so she, for what we've seen, is best royal pony.

Celestia deserves much more recognition, but I think a lot of people focus on the other ponies with deeper characterization, and naturally so.
Cadance is growing on me: I'm looking forward to her role in S3.
Chrysalis is best villian, but Discord had the best results as a villian.
Shining is cool: I'd like to see some more depth to him in the future.

Twilight is not a princess just because her older brother married Cadence. Only he becomes a Prince out if the marrige because he is the one marrying her. No other ponily else. All royal familly do it this way because otherwise everyone would litterally be considered royalty eventually.
Since Twilight is Cadance's sister-in-law, doesn't that make her part of the royal family now? In any case, Twilight Sparkle is best royal pony.

Why do so many dont like Luna/NMM? We like her not because of what the fandom made her, but because she is the princess of The Night! And many of us can relate to her by how she can be akward and have not many friends as a result.
Luna is a bitch. Cadance is clearly best pony in general. I'm gonna just write this off as most of you accidentally clicking the wrong button.

First of all, it was NMM who was sent in the moon. (Yes, in. That's what the first episode says.) But I honestly don't see that as a reason as to why I should like her better, especially since she was the one who sort of got herself banished in the first place, what with the "I'm not taking the moon down" thing.
It is my opinion that RD is overrated. She gets so much hype but to me, she just doesn't live up to it. Not saying she's a bad pony - she's just not what she's hyped to be, in my opinion. Same goes with Luna, well that and the sheer amount of fan content for her made her burn out quickly to me.

Actually, the reason Luna is the most popular is because she is the most complex of the royal characters with the most character development, and it is done very well.
