I'm with Susan. Think about it this way if this was us as students and were wanting to take our summers away or shorten the summer we would not be happy so let's not do it to our kids. Let them have time to enjoy themselves as kids. They will have their entire adult life working many hours all year long.

We're always talking about kids being stressed and having too much on their plates. Where's the logic in giving them more to do?? Let kids be kids.
