Add another one for Firefly. Star Wars is second, but Joss Wedon is my master now.

Firefly. Mal is the best captain ever. Outlaws, gunfights, spacetravel, romance, hand knitted hats. What more could you ask for in a TV series?

Tied between Chuck and Firefly/Serenity. Chuck totally counts as sci-fi btw...

Game of Thrones is becoming one of my favorites... But Firefly is good too. And I'm partial to the dune movie and tv series too.

    It's Doctor Who.
    Not Dr. Who!

But otherwise, yeah, still voted for the Doctor.

Please don't try to diminish Firefly by saying the "science is lacking" - what makes the show superlative is the dialog, the characters and the quirkiness of finding the Wild West @ Warp 5.
The only explanations for it not being included on this list are:
    A. Like the rest of us, Brent is still bent about the series being cancelled
    16. Successful writers are quite prone to moments of insanity
7b. Since Brent's bank manager says he doesn't qualify for #16, it must be that he was trying to be funny.
Good one Brent. Haha - you had us for a minute there. We're busting a gut out here.
Now fix the damn poll title to the one you meant to say: Second Favorite SFF Movie/TV Show, after Firefly

I was thinking firefly too, but then I asked myself what really defined the science fiction fantasy genre. The science in Firefly is almost never relevant to the plot, and the implications of the technology necessary to travel between planets isn't really explored to the same extent as Star Trek. A friend of mine called it a western set in a sci-fi setting, and while I didn't entirely agree, I can't argue that there is a stronger focus on character, and relationships which in no way diminishes the show's quality. I think it's possible Brent had a reason for not including a beloved show, or maybe he just isn't a fan.
