Please, do a comparison between private and public school salaries and benefits--because you're right --there is no comparison. Whoever mentioned faith had the right idea.

Coach Beto Garcia deserves it more than anything!!!!!!!!

There is no better school, team or coach than Orange Lutheran. No excuses. Only pride

  • Football Mom - 12 years ago

Try being a LAUSD head football coach! There is no comparison, none! A private school head coach wouldn't last one hour. No money, old equipment, field conditions are indescribable. Almost all the coaching staff are volunteering their time, they do not get paid. Parent involvement is minimal to say the least. I applaud all the coaches that were nominated, but I believe it takes an exceptional coach to take a group of boy's, that have no faith in their ability to overcome the previous years' losses and turn them into a confident, disciplined, undefeated team that has become more of a family than just a football team!
Regardless of what this polls outcome is, Coach Robert Garcia of San Fernando High School IS the top first-year prep football coach!!!!

Try following an act like former Lutheran Coach Jim Kunau--you go "Pete"!

like previously stated once a tiger always a tiger.... coach garcia is a great coach along with his coaching staff because we all know they do not do it alone. they should all be commended for all their hard work and dedication for turning this football program around...a round of applause to them!

Once a Tiger, always a Tiger.

I think Jimmy Nolan from Carson deserves lots of credit, I know coaching at public school is not an easy task, with budget cuts, work furloughs and having 30 plus players competing. Matter of fact all the public school coaches who coach at LAUSD deserve more recognition than private high schools, from facilities to worn out fields, equipmentand etc.... what you think Mr. Eric S.?

Well we know it isn't Asante :/
