I think the question is poorly worded. There's no doubt Casey Stoner will return to racing, just not necessarily motorbike racing.
He's just worn out. He's 27yo, been racing since he was 4, a world circuit racer since he was about 14. He's achieved all that he set out to achieve, he has a lovely family. He races not within his limits, but at the extreme edge - he pushes hard every single race. He just wants to stop and smell the roses - more power to him for making such a huge non-ego call.

He has a great deal of money and a beautiful family, he doesn't feel the need to risk his life for a living anymore, and who can blame him!
