Do you support Walmart workers striking on Black Friday?

I'm Sorry, I can't support a strike based on wages or hours. If this was based on safety issues or harsh employment practices (like layoffs at day 89) then I would be on your side.

One has to realize that this is meant to be a minimum wage job. You gather work experience to either land a career or get promoted.

Get over yourselves. The pay is actually better at walmart than some places like fast-food joints.....Come on people, wake up to reality. This entitlement thinking is not the way to live successfully. Go to community college and learn a trade. Or go to a university and put your "strike" efforts into learning education to obtain a higher degree which will provide a successful career. The act of striking or walking out on a job to protest one's wages is as identical to me as my family's toddlers pitching fussy screaming and kicking hissy fits. It's time to grow up and stop making a scene when things don't go exactly as part-time day laborers may wish. Better yourself by learning and "paying your dues" and not by complaining. Best turkey day wishes to everyone!

Walmart is the largest employer in the US. They are the competition. At one time steel and coal were the competition and they paid much more than Walmart. If you think $8 hr is good for our economy then you are part of the problem.

Fire all that strike and hire some unemployed people that will appreciate a job.

Really don't care - refuse to shop Wally World because of the poor service, low quality products and ongoing effrot to control the retail world to the point main street is vacant.
Go try to buy a coffee pot or tool made in the USA at Wal-Mart - The prices are low and the quality is junk.

Always smart to bite the hand that feeds you! Fire them all if they don't show up for work. There will be someone who wants a job there to take over.

Are you kidding me? $13 an hour to do a job that a high school kid can do? Newsflash... Walmart cashier is a job, not a career. If you want to be paid like you have a career, go out and get one. I say fire every one of them that walks out and let someone who actually wants a job take their place. I am tired of hearing about what people "deserve"... You "deserve" what the labor market dictates you do. If you want more money, quit your job and go out and get the kind of money you think you are worth. The problem is, most of these people would take a pay cut from their 8.90 starting salary to go to work somewhere else... This is UNSKILLED labor. It should not pay anywhere close to what people with actual skills or college degrees are making. $8.90 an hour for a job that a child can do is fair. If you don't like it, go earn a skill...

FIRE the bastards! They should be thankful at this poor economic time for having a job!

The workers agreed to their pay before accepting the job and knew it was retail. Unforunately retail is going to 80% part-time. It's not just Walmart
