Animated GIFs: Art or Not?

    this is my first visit to this site. I like it and with more visits I will learn more. A picture, sketch or GIF or cartoon what ever conveys the message to common people or the people concerned is light way of criticizing

    It's obvious, in my opinion, that animated GIFs are an integral part of literature. The article explained it--that from the use of GIFs in presenting the PowerPoint 2010 Format Painter, to its use as a storytelling mechanism in Olympic coverage, and the GIFs usefulness in forming social commentary--GIFs are a necessary tool of the trade of writers. Just as much so as any other image be it a chart, graph or map, etc. that we need to help us get our point across.
