Should The State's Earned Income Tax Credit To Lower Income Families Be Ended To Balance The Budget?

The state of Connecticut should seriously study the possibility of lowering tax rates across the board and see how that might generate more revenue by acting as an economic stimulus. If taxpayers end up with a little more money each week they will have a little more to spend in the economy- generating more sales tax revenue as well as picking up private sector business that creates the need for hiring.... which creates income tax revenue- gas tax revenue for driving to and from work; it also would reduce the level of need for taxpayer funded handouts- which by its actions, the current federal government shows that it is only interested in increasing dependency on... likely for the purpose of perpetually leveraging votes from benefit recipients who are scared into believing that their government money stream is contingent on the current corrupted government remaining in place.
