The diesel 240 is one of the most desired volvos available.
They're bulletproof, efficient, have heavier duty front springs and engine mounts (making the ride better), and the drivetrains will last even longer than the gasoline volvos.
Do watch out - the 1984 years had defective engine wiring insulation (and a few other spots like the reverse lights switch). Make sure any volvo made between 83 and 88 has had its engine wiring harness replaced.

The Los Angeles Craigslist shows 799 listings of cars selling for $2000. Some may be sold already and some may be duplicate listings but even if half are available, that allows for a great number of superior vehicles to be had for the asking price of this blue pig-slop bucket on wheels. Crack Pipe!

Without a doubt NP. Volvo's 240 is a sought after car...The diesels are up there with the turbo models so far as desirability goes. Seller could have added an extra grand and it would still sell!
