How many teams should be in the playoffs?

It should stay the way it is. You should not be even allowed to get into the playoffs unless you are at least 3 games over 500. Just because you win your division-and you have an 8 and 8 record--and someone else is left out with a better record--they should go to the playoffs--not the 8 and 8 team!

Leave it be. I hate all the talk about changes that Roger brings up. Leave the game alone. Don't get rid of kick-off's. Don't extend the seasons. Don't change the playoff's. Don't get rid of the Pro-bowl. Stop f'n with the players and their salaries. If you really truly are trying to make the sport safer, Roger, then work on the pads and helmets to develop safer protection. Pay for the health benefits of former players. Do a better job of making sure that players have counseling available for DV, Drug and Alcohol abuse, Money management for life after the game. TRULY SHOW THAT YOU ACTUALLY GIVE A RATS ASS ABOUT THE GUYS WHO MAKE YOU MILLIONS.

I agree with Anthony. 14 teams is perfect.

If the comissioner and the league want to water it down to squeeze some more dollars out of the networks and fans, that's fine, but I do not want to see the regualar season increased from 16 to 18 games. Enough is enough !

The current format is inherently illogical, in that the difference between a 2 seed and a 3 seed in each conference is greater than the difference between a 1 seed and a 2 seed, in that the 1 and 2 seeds get both a first-round bye and home field in the divisional playoffs, while a 3 seed gets neither.

Go to 14 teams and only the 1 seed in each conference gets a bye - and it then actually becomes possible for a wild card team to host a divisional playoff game, which would occur if the 2 (which would no longer get a bye), 3 and 4 seeds in the same conference all got upset in the first round.
