Afriend of had Hinson build one. It was amazing. Mash the go pedal, it just squatted, wiggled and launched, amazing. Truly a big boy toy.

OK I am a rotary nut. No less than 4 1st/2nd gen 7's have been in my garage. I have a deep rooted love of all things Wankel. That being said I have driven a 3rd gen with LS1 power and it doesn't lose much at all when it comes to handling and fun. My last drive was at the autocross in Laurinburg NC, and it was a blast. Yes it adds weight, but you're still under 3000lbs and the weight balance is barely changed from the 50/50 because it sits a little closer to the firewall than most people think. However I still voted a big fat CRACK PIPE, because it's one thing to v8 swap but why on earth would you use an LT1? First it's the most expensive to build small block, second it's power was good, not great, and third it's overly complex for a simple engine design. The only v8 swap should be LS, preferably aluminum block. No way would I take an LT1 over the original turbo, even if I had one just laying around...crack head. At least the work looks very well done.
