Jeanette at East Melbourne Library every Wednesday morning is a dedicated mentor. Her passion makes each story come alive and her class becomes motivated. I find the children are very interested in the games, stories and activites and the time is always too short. East Melbourne Library has a treasure we can all share and our grandchildren benefit.

One used to think that QUIET libraries were the way to go.. Candace at Maleny has challenged and changed that! It is really great now to be working or relaxing in the library, and listen to the absolute delight of her young brood of junior Hinterland kids singing and squealing in delight as Candace works her magic with them. And, by the way, she does a great job as a librarian as well!

Being cheerful and happy in the presence of children will definitely create the same on the children, thus empowering them to enjoy, learn and share each other's company.

In the 8.5 years since I've been on Council and now Mayor, I've sat on the Richmond Tweed Regional Library committee and seen her leadership, innovation and attention to customer service.

Francine is an excellent librarian with outstanding rapport with both young and old. Francine makes the children so excited to visit the library and read! I have 2 grand daughters and 2 grand nephews who grew up in the care of Francine as their librarian.
The seed planted by Francine had motivated these young readers to continue their passion in reading. My 6 years old grand daughter has been invited to submit a story for the Tim Minton competition this year and this would not have happened if not for Francine's excellent grounding of her love for reading and writing. Thanks Francine!!

    Thanks Francine!!
