First and foremost, Capital Metro needs to focus on those living IN Austin who completely rely on the bus system and are unable to drive themselves for whatever reasons. The buses need to continue to go through neighborhoods to main businesses for people to get to and from work, doctors offices, and shopping. There's too much focus on rail. I saw a map of planned extensions, one going up to Oklahoma City (?!). Why do we need to rail people in from Oklahoma City, when it takes me two hours to get from William Cannon to Burnet on the bus to my doctor's office? There was talk of buses being equipped to go through stop lights more quickly -- what happened to that? Please keep those of us living IN Austin who are dependent on the bus FOR our independence moving!

Extend the rail hours until 2am would make a huge difference! I'm sure its traffic would get a boost. There's no point in not having to drive downtown but not being able to stay till closing.

Seems to me that "more local bus routes" and "connecting to more places" are kinda the same thing..
