Anyone who chose Twilight is a brainless sheep and does not deserve have vote in polls and should be forcefully removed from fandom for being an idiot. I chose none cause they all are horrible roomates. Ponies poop and smell bad.
Twilight Sparkle? Really? The OCD pony? A ink jar moves a quarter inch out of place and she notices? My messy lifestyle would be too violent a contradiction to hers. Rarity probly wouldn't be so bad and CAN be very sweet at times, but she likes to keep the temperature at 81.4 degrees farenheit for Opal ... and I'm more comfortable at 68 degress. Pinkie Pie, if you remember in Too Many Pinkie Pie's episode, can be very respectful of her friends. Rainbow Dash was trying to catch some Z's and Pinkie Pie toned it down enough to not distract her. And a pony who's always up and going is sure to help me stay active and healthy. I'm just not a party person, and I don't think I could handle her parties. Fluttershy is nice, and we have a specific episode where she actually has Discord as a roomate, so we know how she'd be. I'm just not certain I could survive the daily heart attacks from her cuteness. Rainbow Dash is right up my alley sometimes, arrogance rolls off me like water off a ducks back, so that wouldn't get to me. She loves stories (and ghost stories), adventure, and just being outside. Good buddy. But we don't know anything about how she conducts her life at home - besides being an egghead. So I don't know about Rainbow. Applejack is last, and my choice! Finest cook, hard worker, orderly lifestyle, supports others well, Apple'Jack' of All Trades, and she's country. And I love country. Did I mention finest cook? If I could have apple pie or apple fritters everyday ......... words can't describe my unavoidable happiness.
Applejack, I just don't see much great stuff happening. Same with Fluttershy. Pinkie Pie would quickly get on my nerves. Rarity would be far too demanding. Twilight Sparkle would be interesting, but she wouldn't be up for that much fun. I picked Rainbow Dash - who I would trust to bring me an action-packed life.
Twily definiately even though she's not my favorite pony. She would be quiet, wouldn't throw loud parties, and probably more then willing to help you with homework
My top choices who are also my faves would be Fluttershy and Rarity as I relate to them the most and I feel we could help each other the most. But since I can only choose one, I went with my top fave, Fluttershy, which in a universe I have created for some of my videos, it's actually in that senario.
Ug, tough choice. I'd probably go wither either Fluttershy, Twilight or Applejack as a roommate. Next would be Rarity or Dashie and lastly would be Pinkie. ( only because I could see going to bed be possibly difficult with her energy levels keeping me awake heh )

I assume they mean roommate as in school related? If so, Fluttershy would be your best bet. For the common people Fluttershy wouldn't get on your nerves so quickly, make a big deal if you leave a mess, or boss you around. Twilight would be a good study partner but a terrible roommate when she organizes everything and keeps you up with her reading. Aj and RD would probably leave you alone most nights, but it just feels like living with them would end up in a lot of disagreements. Have you seen Rarity's inspiration room? You'd lose all your stuff under the clutter. Pinkie would be the out of control party girl whom you'd have to drug just to get a hour of sleep. With Fluttters, all arguments would end in "whatever you want to do is fine". The main thing you would have to deal with is Angel and I'm pretty sure it would be wabbit season when school starts.

Tough decision. Dash is best pony, but if she and I we're roommates we'd never get anything done. We'd be pulling all-nighters at least three times a week. Her laziness combined with my laziness would lead to gratuitous amounts of procrastination. Twilight on the other hand would offset my laziness nicely and stuff would actually get done. That said, when needed I could still probably convince her to step outside her box and let loose a bit when we felt like having some fun.
Twilight for me. I'm very organized myself, so I wouldn't be able to handle it if my roommate was sloppy and left clothes laying abo--wait, no. Nevermind, ponies don't wear clothes. I'd still want Twilight as my roommate, though.

Twilight, hands down. She's often nocturnal, and while she has little quirks, she's easily the most tolerable of the mane 6. Applejack is the type that'd be up at 6am EVERY MORNING. Rarity would be hard for me, since I don't really pay attention to fashion, art, etc. Pinkie is... well, she's Pinkie. Random sometimes is fun. Random all the time would get annoying. Rainbow would also be bad. Two procrastinators would never motivate each other to get anything done. Fluttershy wouldn't be bad... except that I'd never feel comfortable around her. I'd always wonder if I was annoying her, since she's not the type to tell you something like that.
@ClaymoreLinx: Your taking it literary. This is meant to be a what if fantasy if you could have any of "The Mane Six" as a room mate. Don't take it too seriously.

so i pic Twily, her late night studies and other "ticks" wouldnt disturb me...
Twilight, of course. She's neat, organized, can use magic, and is an adorable bookworm. Sure, you'd have to deal with some OCD episodes, but that's pretty minor.
I'd like Twi as a roommate because I actually think I relate to her the most and therefore would be sort of on the same wavelength as her if we had to share a home:
I'm a neat-freak who needs everything to have its place; I'm particular with how I need things done and believe that if you're going to bother doing something, you may as well do it right; I actually thoroughly enjoy learning new things and/or reading in general because 'knowledge is power' and it can be fun to engross yourself in a good piece of literature; I can be quite studious when I apply myself and tend to be very analytical about things (like this explanation).
Generally speaking, I think we'd get along well together. That or we'd tear each other apart because we'd always want to do something our own way. Either or. Regardless, it would at least be interesting. Fluttershy would be too quiet and meek, Pinkie would be way too hyper and random, Rainbow would likely be aloof and pushy, Applejack would be way too into work (especially in regards to making me work as much as she does), and Rarity is way too much of a diva and a nit-picker.

At first i though of twillight. But then i dawned on me that she will be a very problematic roomate, with strange demands like having all my cloths sorted in an alphabetic order or something. So i desided to go with RD, who on one hand would be really cool, and on the other hand won't enfringe on my personal space.

Pinkie Pie is the best answer in my opinion but I am partial. My roommate a couple of years ago was close to Pinkie Pie's personality. It worked out great. I was typically by myself since he was out meeting people and doing stuff. He'd bring people back to meet me sometimes which I need on a limited basis. Finally, we'd spend the night together doing stuff together like watching DBZ every so often as friends. We were both a bit messy, so when it became a problem we just took care of it at the same time.
Fluttershy would want pets and be more of a homebody than me which is saying something. Twilight also introverted and reclusive would be almost identical to me, except anal about messes. Applejack wouldn't be too bad but I don't see her leaving home and I'd rather not be staying with her family too. Finally, Rarity would be worse than my best friend about little annoying details. I'd feel exactly like how Applejack felt during the sleepover. Rainbow Dash I guess wouldn't be too bad either but her ego gets on my nerves sometimes. I think going by the Myer-Briggs type Indicator it's because I have difficulty with extreme sensors which she and Applejack both are. On the other hand, ENFP is my favorite type and easiest to understand. Plus, they're hilarious.
I'm not surprised about Twilight being first since she's similar to an INTJ. Fluttershy I can see too since she's introverted and would be passive. Still, in the day-to-day grind, Pinkie would be a better fit.

The lack of Applejack's roommates is disturbing.
Twilight Sparkle: Quiet and studious as well as uber magical. Small disadvantage: leaves books everywhere.
Fluttershy: All her pets loose everywhere, leaving feces on everything.

Rainbow Dash: Jock but takes naps. Might get tiring talking about the Wonderbolts all the time.

Reason I didn't chose Fluttershy: the smell of the dozens of creatures that I couldn't tell her she couldn't have.
Pinkie for me. I'm the quiet type but blast music whenever I can. She could also help me with this 'social funk' I'm in.
As much as I love Fluttershy, I think Rainbow Dash would be the best roommate, personally. I tend to be a slob and it seems like she's the one that would care the least about it, not to mention, given her personality, if video games existed in Equestria, I imagine RD would totally be a gamer.
She'd probably be outside frequently as well, which would mean I could still be alone when I wanted to.
fluttershy is the only one i wouldn't strangle to death after a week.

Applejack would be good, since she'd probably do the cleaning and whatnot without complaint. Pinkie would make sweets, but then throw loud parties, and her randomness would be problematic for roommate status. I feel like Twilight's OCD would mean she couldn't stand my messiness. I don't think Rarity or RD would work with my unrefined slothful personality. I'm gonna have to go with my favorite pony, Fluttershy, because she would be understanding of my bad habits and not be too crazy.
