really pleased with the finale of castle s5,writers have opened a huge lot of plots for s6,i mean didn't we see in an earlier episode agent Jordan Shaw, help Castle & Beckett solve a serial killer case,& did Castle not say as a theory for a future book that he would have Nicky Heat meet a FBI agent,or maybe not? The plots for future cases, with Kate at the FBI are enormous, think about the cases the FBI deals with,(big fan of Bones too),& we already know Kate has agents like Jordan Shaw, already at the FBI,whom she could tag up with in future cases,we also have Castles dad,who remember is a spy by all accounts, who we might see again? I'm no writer, but the ideas i have floating around my head, might suit some cases, for example, another sniper is on the loose,Kate has all her old emotions resurface, the sniper could target all Kate's friends? Another idea is Castle is Kidnapped & held hostage, somebody might want him to write a book, just for them, think Misery (James Caan),this could make Kate go rogue(think Sarah in Chuck)? This is but a couple of thoughts,so personally i hope s6 is immense!!

Most viewers are assuming the choice will have to be Castle or the job. However, Castle is a writer and can work from anywhere. He also is exceedingly wealthy, so he can afford an additional or second home in DC. He can use experiences with the task force for his book plots. It is all workable. Only snag is how to get the rest of the team there. Can Beckett pick her own people for the task force or will she have to work with an 'inherited" staff? If the AG is only interested in getting the job done, perhaps he will let her bring in her own people for her team. Or will the rest of the team go to a spin off and occasionally collaborate with Beckett's task force on cases?

There was no other option here but for Castle to propose but, as a pragmatist, I would have a hard time believing that Kate would take a job in DC. That would doom the relationship and preemptorily cause the end of Season 6 -- unless she decides to take the DC job and there is some attempt to keep up the relationship long distance (and we saw how Alexis and Ashley's attempt ended). The question is, which does Kate want more -- Castle or a job in DC? Or -- if she does take the job, it would have to be short-lived because there would be no roles for the supporting cast, who are all GREAT! And -- no more news about Ryan and Jenny's baby? Then why bring it up? And -- marriage would imply children as a subtext; where would this go? Any way you look at it, lots more fodder for future episodes. However, I confess I watched three years of this series before I finally understood that Caskett was a major part of the story line, was focused on solving the mysteries/murders, so I am too clueless for anyone to take seriously.

I can't believe the writers of Castle created this drama between their two main characters. Becket is not the character they made her out to be, by sneaking off for an out of town interview, we have come to know. The writers spent four seasons on writing obstacles Castle and Becket had to overcome before they became a couple and this is how they leave us in season five. It's hard to believe Nathan F. agreed to this "drama-queen" episode. I'm bummed!
