We all know what "other online source" means.

  • Dan - 11 years ago

Well, there's a theatre two towns over that was going to be showing it. Didn't realize that meant they were showing it only once, on a Sunday morning, while I was out of town. I've got Netflix but I don't feel like waiting another couple months for that SO YEAH I'll be pirating it

  • Starry Night - 11 years ago

why don't they just name "other online source" what it truely is.... pirate bay... the site that ruined the brony documentary and with these poll results we can see why lol.

  • Faerhlsm - 11 years ago

I'm going to see this in a theater near me on the 29th when I go home. I keep checking the theater site to make sure that they really are showing it. XD

  • David - 11 years ago

I would watch it in theatres, but because the UK sucks so hard we don't get ponies :'(

  • Featherpaw - 11 years ago

I wish I could see it in a theater, but there isn't one anywhere near me that's showing it. So unfair. -._

  • TwinkiePon - 11 years ago

See this poll doesn't have my option - I'll see it in theaters if possible but no theater near me is showing it so we're trying to get a private screening - not sure if it'll happen. If not, then it'll be either DVD or iTunes

  • Equestria Bratz Dolls - 11 years ago

[x] I Am Not Seeing Equestria Girls
No theater/cinema near me is gonna show it anyway.
Might watch it if it airs on TV someday.

  • Duckus333 - 11 years ago

I voted that I wasn't seeing it, but I do plan on seeing it in the future.

  • Sunderbraze - 11 years ago

Yeah... Knowing this fanbase, this was almost as given as a Luna poll

  • mylittlestrawberreh - 11 years ago

I want to see it in theaters, but it won't show in the Netherlands :c
and if it will it will be in Dutch and that just makes me want to throw up :p

  • merri - 11 years ago

"How will you do it?" High as f!ck. /obvious answer

  • Dovahliink - 11 years ago

@TroMo Puberty? You're going to use the power of voice cracks and eruptive pimples in order to secure a ticket?
In all seriousness though. They aren't showing it in theaters where I live, and I would presumably have to book a 2 hour plane trip (both ways) in order to watch it. Let's just say that that isn't going to happen.

  • Sheep - 11 years ago

    Youtube

  • Bk - 11 years ago

Well the nearest theater playing it is half an hour from me, and that exceeds how far I'm willing to go to see this movie. Also I'm not particularly wanting to give Hasbro money for this after their hostile takeover of equestriagirls.com. I may not even watch it until reaction videos are available.

  • Luraman - 11 years ago

    @Jose http://yp1.pony.pp.ua/ Enjoy ;)

Aww yeah, just bought mah theater ticket yesterday. It's gonna be sweet.

  • JohnyKnight - 11 years ago

In Russia I couldn't go to theater to listen original of this movie - our dub is not good. I thought about DVD but in our country only dubbed version ( I have no blu-ray) will be. My last hope is TV (hub - not russian channels) and other online source - I HAVE NO ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY.

  • TroMo - 11 years ago

    P.S. And it's not «Pony»!

  • TroMo - 11 years ago

It starts with «P» and ends with «Y»

  • cityflyer502 - 11 years ago

Honestly, I hadn't initially planned on watching it in theaters. But the opportunity to watch it with friends while I'll be visiting in DC popped up, so I seized upon it. Quite honestly, I have absolutely no idea what to expect. But I'm definitely keeping an open mind on this, so let's see what happens.

  • le Anon - 11 years ago

Not giving Hasbro money for this abomination. Watching it online, if I even do watch it.

  • StanStanminson - 11 years ago

    Ha... other...
That means *Wink Wink* Piratebay *Cough Cough*

  • Issaquiah - 11 years ago

i put other because i dont know if i am going to go see it in theaters yet, but i will probably watch it online at a latter date.

  • Jose - 11 years ago

Speaking of pirating, where can I find free version of the MLP comics?

  • Shycake - 11 years ago

    Other online sources, Lame.

  • Voigt - 11 years ago

Mhm the next theader is just a couple of hours with a plane away. So I do not think, I would charter a flight from Germany in the USA, just to watch the movie in a theater. Also Netflix isn't offered here in Germany. So pirating is the way. I would love, if the maker could just make a PayPal Donation Adress, so after I watched the movie I still can throw money at them.

  • TheManWhoCriedPony - 11 years ago

It won't be showing where I am, I think. So I'll just have to find a copy on the internet.

  • BBronYY - 11 years ago

I'd love to see it in theater, but I don't have one close enough to me that I'd be able to go to it. I've got no car and no available ride. I'll have to resort to watching online and buying the DVD.

  • MR. Fahrenhei89 - 11 years ago

I would love to see it in theaters to support the people who make it. Unfortunately I work the graveyard shift and all the showings are right in the middle of my sleep cycle. So I will either have to wait for it to get to netflix or rent it from itunes.

I.e. we're all staying home and pirating this damn movie as soon as it hits the interwebs just like we've all been watching the show till now.

  • TexasUberAlles - 11 years ago

    HOERS NOT MUNKY.

  • Batpony - 11 years ago

45% of You are a pirate. lol

  • richfiles - 11 years ago

I'll watch it online FIRST. That does not exclude other options. I will certainly buy the DVD, and the ONLY reason I'm not gonna see it in a theater, is there simply is not a theater airing it near where I live.

  • Applejack - 11 years ago

A couple of theatres nearby are showing "Equestria Girls" on the 29th. I'll be seeing it in theatres first, then again on DVD if I enjoy the movie.

  • Doofenshmirtz - 11 years ago

I live in another country so i have no other choice than "Other Online Sources" and since everything WILL be filled with spoilers, its impossible to wait till august for dvd without ruining the ending

  • Dogman15 - 11 years ago

Whether I see it in the theater or not depends on if I'm able to see it on YouTube first. The movie is supposed to come out on the 15th or 16th, but where I live the theater in the San Francsico Bay Area that is showing won't be playing until a few days from then. If I haven't found it online by then, I'll join my friends at the theater. Otherwise, I'm saving money and staying at home.

  • galapin - 11 years ago

@Safireix I know that, I have the same problem, I can't watch it in theatres; and maybe I'll pay something if the movie is good, that's why I'm gonna make the cleverest thing to do IMO: wait and watch it on Youtube, and take my decision after.

  • Magic - 11 years ago

Probably Netflix(I have it on my Wii so I can watch it as soon as it is available) or in theatre if I'm up to it(could be awkward)!

  • KendallBunny - 11 years ago

Time to visit the pirate bay

  • Safireix - 11 years ago

Galapin - Because there are lots of people like me who can't go see it in theatres because it's not showing near where we live, and don't have/use iTunes/Netflix or, in the case of iTunes, don't want to commit to buying something if we don't know we'll like it.

(In my case, I only use iTunes for music and only when I have a giftcard, I don't have Netflix, and there are no showings in my country, meaning that I'll have to rely on YouTube)

  • Frith - 11 years ago

Yay polls! Since intensedebate dropped OpenID, it's the only way I can comment on EqD. Theatre if possible, and it should be possible. I suspect there won't be many children watching since there haven't been any adverts that I've seen (they could all be on the Treehouse channel) and there are only two screenings. On the same day.

  • Brandon - 11 years ago

Yeaaah... nearest theater is 3 hours away. I would honestly go but I can't justify a 6 hour round trip for an hour movie. I also really don't want to wait until it's on TV to watch it either (which will be what? Fall?) while everyone else is talking about it. For me this is a case of not having access to viewing it so I need to find some other way.

I know it won't end up on Netflix or iTunes before it hits the Hub so I'm sort of forced into this position. I will watch it objectively however and if it's better than some people think it will be I'll give it a good review.

  • Dan - 11 years ago

I'll probably either buy a DVD or watch it on Netflix, or what it someother way online which ever comes first. And then probably all 3 eventually.

  • rainheartthepegasus - 11 years ago

    Y'ARR MAYTEYS!!!

  • Cygnus Rush - 11 years ago

If I were able to get over the awkward situation of buying a ticket for EqG in public I'd go see it but alas I have to use the Other online source to avoid said situation. (Sorry DHX and Hasbro)

  • SpeedBoost - 11 years ago

    So much corruped people xD

  • Pony - 11 years ago

Only 1 theater in my state even showing it, and it's not very close, and add to that the weirdness of sitting in a theater that's possibly full of 10-year old girls with all the moms wondering why exactly I'm there. Will watch online.

  • TheHatPony - 11 years ago

I think we all know what the ''Other Online Sources'' will be ;)
    Yarrrrrr!

  • Calico - 11 years ago

Netflix would be ideal, and if it's really good, I'll buy it.

  • BigMac101 - 11 years ago

Seems like Youtube will be the most dominant way of watching Equestria Girls online.

  • Jon - 11 years ago

If I could somehow skip the awkwardness of buying a ticket without a little sister/daughter by my side I'd go to the theater. XD

  • Catalan Brony - 11 years ago

Europe here, so the first 4 choices are gone (unless i pay for shipping, but I won't). I don't like itunes, so that option is also out of the way. I'll porbably watch on youtube or download illegally (Sorry hasbro! :'( )

  • Soarinjack - 11 years ago

Youtube counts as "Other Online Source", right?

  • Blue Dragon - 11 years ago

Well, galapin, because most people want to watch it free- therefore, YouTube is the perfect choice.
The interesting thing is that 9% don't plan to watch it, those are the haters or the apathetic.
That is, opposite to what seems to be common wisdom, most Bronies have warmed up to the idea of Equestria Girls, if only enough to watch it before judging. It seems the majority will give it a try, 41% wishes to enjoy it, and only a slim 9% won't give it a try.
Of course, as the poll progresses, the statistics may change a little.

  • HHenko - 11 years ago

It's funny that this poll was posted almost at the same time as the Spotlight Music featuring "Pipsqueak the Plunderer"... you know, considering the massive amount of votes for "Other online source". YARR!

  • James Rye - 11 years ago

Honestly, i would like to go to the theatre to watch it. Then again it comes out in USA and i´m here in old dusty germany... so yeah.

  • Ed Thorpe - 11 years ago

Since i live in England i will wait until some one uploads it to YouTube.

  • galapin - 11 years ago

I love this poll, I really wonder why "other online source" is dominating...
