I believe they should be put up at every school ONLY!!! NO WHERE ELSE!!! Use it for good only!! Every where else they want them up to generate money for the city

If you obey LAWS what's the problem. just like police pulling you over if you did not do any thing or guilty of anything what's the problem. its more for getting or catching criminals.

I feel the mobile cameras in school and hospital zones, but besides that take them down. If its a high accident intersection, set a officer there. I haven't seen the crime rate go down because of the cameras freeing up officers.

For those who are saying people against it are bad or agresive driving your are wrong. I am medically retired but before then I was a professional driver. I have over 3,000,000 miles with no accidents, tickets of any kind and also not involved in an accident caused by others. I an a very safe driver / motorcycle rider I make up for others and their bad driving.

My main reason is that they are using it as income not safety. Also we the people have slowly given away are rites. If we don't start taking a stand we will become nothing more then the new USSR. I will no longer stand by and watch this. My parents are immigrants from Hungry and them and their friends are saying the same thing. They can not believe they are living thru this 2 times in their live. What I'm talking about is watching the government slowly take everything including your freedom away. I know the traffic cameras are just a small part but that is how its done, many small things that add up.

The only ones who cry about the traffic cameras are the ones who break traffic laws anyway. I can't tell you how many times I have been hit by you law breakers who are in a hurry to go no where or can't wake up ten minutes earlier to make it to work on time. We must thank the law breakers for the use of these traffic cameras!

I dislike the idea that cameras remove the police officer from the situation. A police officer can exercise discretion in traffic incidents- a camera is a little too big brother, and will eventually take away law enforcement jobs.

These camera's are about money, safety is the the trojan horse, how often are they tested and calibrated? If the city want to fine people, how about starting with walking in the street when there are perfectly good side walks,, or throwing their garbage on the ground or out their car windows.Instead forcing it down our throats, why not put it to a vote?

I used to live in Erie, Pennsylvania and they have the traffic light cameras. The only thing they had to do is to make an anouncement on the news that these cameras were going to be operational by a certain date, that's it!! I feel these camera's here in Ohio and Pa need to be done away with!!

This poll will reflect, for the most part, people saying they don't want the cameras. That percentage also reflects the majority of the population that drives hostile and plays games in the road. This amazing mentality of humans having to be first, get around everyone else. The real problem for you people is that heaven forbid you have to pay attention and use a bit of common sense. I want cameras on every road like my little Lakewood street where people drive 35-40mph regardless if their are children all around or workers. No civility.

The only reason they have those is to make extra money!

Although I do not like the idea of George Orwell's 1984 "Big Brother" governmental intrusion into citizen's private lives, I also understand the economics of a strained police force. When I am driving on public roads it is my responsibility to obey civil laws for my own safety as well as that of others. Those who protest the camera's presence most likely are not abiding by the imposed limits.

My daughter was photographed speeding in my car...she didn't get the ticket..I did!! That isn't fair to me. I never had a speeding ticket in my life! Now I guess I do.
