I make a pilgrimage to Zabar's every time I'm in Manhattan, so definitely go there. As for pizza, my hands-down favorite is Grimaldi's just under the Brooklyn bridge on the Brooklyn side. GO THERE. Trust me. Have I ever steered you wrong? Have fun in NYC!
