I live in a retirement village owned by Alexian Brothers/Ascension, they are very gluten/dairy UNFRIENDLY. This is in spite of the reality that I have to pay for the Horrid food wether I eat here or not. It is located on Signal Mountain, TN. So I cannot recommend this place to anyone. However, I do
consider Chattanooga very GF. I have. to go miles to shop for products, but I do it.

We are in Charlotte, NC, and it literally gets better every day. We find out about new GF options weekly. Our grocery stores are getting better and awareness is increasing.

Having never heard of Celiac Disease, I was diagnosed in 2006. I began a personal Celiac awareness campaign in 2009 to help the public and restaurant personnel understand how important eliminating gluten is to improvement of our health. In the Knoxville, TN, area they have done a great job meeting our GF needs. Aubrey's Restaurants, a local chain with several locations in the East Tennessee area, began a GF menu in 2011 and enhanced it with GF hamburger buns and other additions in 2012. Aubrey's management had finally realized that we Celiacs need the GF medically-required diet for the rest of our lives and that many more people will be diagnosed in the future. Greg Stewart has been especially instrumental in getting Aubrey's on board, and we are grateful to go there with family/friends.
