I just now looked up who Exie is after reading these comments, and she's awesome. I like her a lot more than anyone on this list. Buttons mom is cool and all but she's pretty much just like a stereotypical mom for the sake of the show. JanAn is the only reason she's popular. If they made an animation of any OC like that then it'd blow up. If they made an Exie animation, the internet would implode.
I've heard a lot about Exie lately. She needs more fandom attention. She has a great design and color scheme, her personality and character are so loveable, and she wears a really cool little outfit. This seems like a list of OCs that EqD mods like, and Exie isn't EqD appropriate. Then again, neither is the reason Button's Mom is so popular these days.

Never read FoE or Past Sins, didn't really like Snowdrop, not really sure how I feel about the fluffy one, and voting Button's Mom makes me feel kinda dirty inside. I see some people are talking up Milky Way, and to be honest I'm kinda okay with that. But voting Other is for losers.
I'm not really sure what to do with this one.

I hate Fluffle Puff. Sorry, but this pony just drives me nuts as a fan favourite. Fluffle Puff would never exist in the show's limits, and it's annoying. People freak out over alicorn OC's, red and green OC's and renewed mane 6 - but throw an anatomically incorrect and ridiculously stupid looking pony and everybody flocks to it. No. Just no.
So why Button's Mom instead of Button? I mean, she's female and all, but seriously, Button's character was absolutely spot-on fantastic. Oh, well, Flufflepuff it is then.
nyx, a highly thought out personality with a huge back story back with amazing writing looses to Button's mom because 80% of the fandom apparently pops a boner every time her name is mention. -.- i greatly dislike this fandom sometimes...

Don't know the first 2, haven't seen whatever Snowdrop is from, and I think Fluffle Puff is extremely overhyped (nice as a one-time thing, but not nice enough to warrant this much popularity). I'm okay with Button's mom, and I don't know of any others, so she gets my vote by default.
