    oops sorry

Also, probably should have gone with the general discussion, where none of 8 GPs didn't have any doubts.

Saving my patient who can't even afford $5.90? More like 'Aren't I a good chap!'

For a trial -- WITHOUT a CMI [Consumer Medicines Information] is against all Quality Use of Medicines. Would YOU accept an unknown substance blind and on trust prescribed by a colleague?
Xanax: what's all the worry about? Then why do some of your colleagues refuse to touch it?

Sample packs are of great benefit in many situations, including the following:

For disadvanted patients who can not afford either PBS subsidised or Private Script medications.

For a trial of therapy such as antidepressants / PPI`s etc.

The RACP has no concept of what the practice of medicine is like @ the coal face ie General Practice - this is the same body that recommended that Xanax be restricted to be presribed only by members of the RACP - how were they ever going to provide a good service to patients when you wait 2 months for a specialist appointment.
