    Where would we be without a God who loves us so much, He sent His Son Jesus to die for us, should
    we negate this, If you believe and it is not true, you have not lost anything,but,if you do not believe, and it is true, you have lost everything!

    If you want to live in a theocracy, I suggest Saudi Arabia or elsewhere in the Middle East. In the Western world, we learned centuries ago about the dangers of church and state being intertwined (see Souther USA for trying to ban science in schools for a recent example).

    Lastly, to those who feel they need to subject others of different beliefs to your prayers, perhaps take the advice of your own Bible where Jesus condemns public prayer:

    Matthew 6:5 ESV / 65 helpful votes

    “And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you."

    Religion and prayer have no place in civic affairs. Perhaps a quote from the enlightenment might help;

    "But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods or no God. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg."

    -Thomas Jefferson, Notes on Virginia, 1782
