Which Scion FR-S variant should Toyota produce?

Where do I begin??? How about, Toyota don't build either! There is so much already wrong with the idea of the FR-S. Let me start by saying the boxer power plant is all Subaru. The 86 is a Toyota not a Scion. Comparatively speaking the BRZ has more value and is a Superior vehicle when compared to its twin sister the FR-S. And although there essentially the same car do they really need to share some of the exact same parts like wheels for example?

In my opinion these rumors and controversy behind the next FR-S and which car to build, is only a PR stunt by Toyota execs to test the waters and gauge interest so they can try figure out which version people will actually buy? or is it simply just a deflection tactic? whatever happened to a FR-S with more power? I feel that for many obvious reasons like competition or gaps in a product line-up a topless variant would be the smarter more ideal choice but given current market trends, time consumption and obstacles with R&D im sure it would be more difficult to produce and would'nt make Toyota as much or enough money... so how's about a four door then? A four door is simply something they can mass produce and is something that fills the missing segment of struggling Scion's portfolio. Plainly said Scion needs an affordable, attractive four door that performs well, gets good fuel economy, and is not only appealing but also has adequate technology for the gen x/y buyers- you know, the targeted market demographic which Scion was supposed to cater to.

Personally I would love to see both, just not as a watered down Toyoscibaru. Sorry Toyota, but stick to building Priuses your boring, normalcy seeking, generic clientele seem to love them so much that once they get one they cant stop...HA! LOL! no pun intended, i know you've been cleared of that...

Subaru execs listen up! You want to hit your mark of 500,000 US car sales? Expand your product line up starting with the BRZ! Keep the coupe, add a topless, 4dr and and STi variants, make production slightly limited and im sure we'll watch them fly off the lots (wings sold separately of course). If im correct a move like this would also make you the only US manufacturer with multiple sub $30k sports cars that come in 2dr, 4dr, and convertible and in both RWD or AWD. And If your afraid of a four door encroaching on the Impreza or WRX, no worries it wont because unlike the Impreza the BRZ is actually sporty, good looking, and is FUN to drive and although has less power than WRX its about the same price as the WRX but BRZ is still selling well and is proof that not all Suby's need to do it on all fours.

Hopefully this helps stir the minds of the wonderful people at Subaru, Motor trend, my fellow enthusiasts and anybody else who is wondering where have all the cool affordable cars gone? last time I checked the prius was not fun to drive in fact it was painfully numbing...sorry again Toyota...
