Do you think women should stop wearing weaves as the Kenyan article suggests?

I know that it is recommended to wash and inspect the weft before applying. I didnt follow directions when I bought synthetic hair. When I began purchasing "human hair" I really started paying more attention.

This same rumor came out in the seventies when I was in college and everyone had an afro. I do not believe everything that I hear. I do not need a weave, or feel the need to wear one at this point. But if I did, I know how to keep myself and my hair clean. I can also afford to go to a hairdresser to get my hair washed and properly taken care of. Just saying.....
